Re: eS2 evolution
Engine bay looks great. I really hated sanding all that on my URQ !
What’s that master cyl??

Re: eS2 evolution
Thanks. Certainly a pain but I wouldn’t have been happy if I hadn’t cleaned it up given how stripped the car is.
It’s a Wildwood from ChaseBay. Found a couple of E30 guys that run them that like the setup.
“They” say that this is the sweet spot for pedal feel and power based on master cylinder piston diameter. I kept the hydro-boost in case I don’t like it...I don’t mind a heavier pedal as long as it is a linear feel.

That's Tapatalk for you lol
Man everything is just going in so smoothly, looks minty fresh. How did you remove the old subframe and control arm bushings?

The control arm bushings I just used a air hammer. The front subframe was super easy because I pulled the from out.PRY4SNO wrote:That's Tapatalk for you lol

1 1/4 hole saw to drill out the center bushing.

Then an air chisel to pop them out. Maybe 15 minutes in total.

WTF on the double posts. I post, then a notice saying double post. If I cancel, it doesn’t post anything, but if I retry it’s doing it twice?

That's a tapatalk fail... one of a few prominent reasons I abandoned the platform (personally speaking).
Good call on the combo of the hole saw and air chisel, I think I see some of that in my future. Thanks for the pointers!

Re: eS2 evolution
Here’s the secret recipe .
Post (will get error message )
Ignore errors . Hit back button
It will ask if you want to abandon post . Say yes.
It takes you back to your thread and no changes appear . Go back to main forum page then go forward to your thread again. Now the new post appears .
That is what has been workin for me at least. Even though it says the post didn’t work it really did so if you post again it will duplicate , or give you the “top soon” message .

Really the main reason I use it is I am too lazy to do photos through a hosting service...the german wrote:This exchange has affirmed my decision never to use Tapatalk

Re: eS2 evolution
Yeah it’s a pain, but for me it’s better than uploading each photo to a hosting site and trying to translate the link.
That is Until Tapatalk deletes the photos stored then every thread looks like all the other ones where photobucket was used

Looking for some input - I have a couple of thoughts on this but wondering if others have found a really good way to clean the carpet while out of the car...

Slow progress.
Used Sonix wheel cleaner to clean front calipers. Amazing how well it worked.

Looks awesome. I didn't know AK made those front tie rod ball/heim joint assemblies. Nice! I have a homebrew setup on the rally car. Love the parts and quality this build is getting.
Re: eS2 evolution
Thanks - I’m hoping to do a little track stuff, 1/2 mile etc (maybe do One Lap of America), play on the streets and am not willing to go at it half assed given the performance I am seeking... have to be able to stop and turn! My main struggle is that I chose to not do a cage... I guess I will see if I change my mind on that later (most likely but...).rallyfreak202 wrote:Looks awesome. Re: eS2 evolution
Finally getting back to some work on the car, I’ve been travelling a ton for work and trying to get some family time so haven’t done a thing...
I wish I had given a little more thought to doing the rear subframe bushings earlier, I should have waited until I dropped it out. I initially was planning on doing the rear end bushings with the frame in the car but figured it will be easier to do everything with the frame out....
I think I’ll seam weld up the sub frame while it is out... for anyone that has done it any concerns with warping if it’s not bolted in car? Way easier on a bench...
