sorry matt.... i'm not making my car into any kind of wagon... EVER :P

and Pat,no, that was my original bumper that i just built for it about a month or so ago. guess i'm off to find a new one now. i think i can save the spoiler though with a little help from the die grinder.

i'm gonna be in need of a nice original white hood on the west coast along with a bumper and core support if anyone has any leads.

That sucks dude. :( So are you going to still do the 3b in the other 4k, or are you going to drive that stock for a while so you can fix the white 4k?

SOrry to hear, Derek. I know the feeling as you know. But good things come out of circumstances like this. Look in my driveway now, and you'll see what I mean.

Just got home from California with the replacement wagon. Needs a few small details, but it's in good shape with all the goodies I had on the wrecked car, save the FMIC and interior. Looking forward to seeing/hearing your progress on the rebuild and refit.

Chin up,

Patrick

if i move the trans and motor over to the drivers side 1" i can use two right side axles and give me about an inch of inward movement at the struts....

How will this affect your driveshaft angle?
Sorry to hear @ the car, but like you said, life and limb are worth more than rebuildable metal...

oooh, pics! :D i was in CA all last week patrick! you should have called me, i bet we coulda met up :(

nuugen, it won't affect the angles, it'll just center the trans to allow me touse the shorter axles an be able to move the struts inward.

Sorry to hear about your car, thats a huge bummer. I originally saw your car on cardomain, and it was my inspiration for my own 4000QT, I still think its the nicest, most tastefully done 4000 i've seen....keep building them, can't wait to see what you have in store next.

I was hell bent to get home, to be honest. I had some appointments yesterday. As it turned out, I left Wednesday afternoon and got home Friday night, despite nastiness in Oklahoma City from the snowstorm.
Shame it sandblasted the front bumper and front fasciae, but what can one do? Tried to avoid all the inclement weather I could as I was on decidedly Summer tires, but...

I'll send a couple of pics your way. Car runs like a brand new S, as the suspension was completely replaced recently. Couple of niggles, but I will fix 'em shortly.

Cheers,
P

Derek,
Man after all that work to replace the lights, there's a guy here in PDX that has a hood, and maybe a front core support. I'm going ot look at some other parts he has and I'll check out what's in good shape?
Give me a call if there is anything specific you need? It's a Coupe GT!

Wow, sorry to hear Derek...That 4000 was beautiful. Good luck with the rebuild. As you say, the most important thing is that you're alright.
