I think I need another ride in Justin's car. The idea of 'midway through 4th gear' in this car gives me bad thoughts.

Got a chance to meet up with Santa Javad and his head Elf in charge Nate for dinner the other night. I requested a special in person delivery of a new toy. :D I've always had a little turbo surge when the 35R ramps up between 15 psi and ~20 psi, hopefully this will cure it. Now, where's that argon tank....

What is the deal with the little holes drilled around the inlet?

I'd like to feel my car at 30 psi ! 30 psi = new transmission :( I'm more than happy with it at 26-27 psi on pump gas.

Man, having to search for my thread is not cool

I've been playing with the new turbo housing for a while now. It does change the personality of the car. The turbo seems to spool slightly later and a little more abrupt, but it definitely does not surge as much, if at all. There is just a hint of shuffle now.

I attribute the slower spool to the small amount of air that escapes the machined part instead of going into the intake. After a certain load it's negligible and full boost feels the same.

The intake has a really nice whistle to it now, I like it. The 35R always had a funny sound to it, it never really sounded like a turbo spooling. That is definitely fixed.

Next up: I don't know, whatever "brakes" next  :-D

Hi Jim! Just because I had some time to kill I was browsing over some old info on your car and decided to see what you were up to. One thing led to another and I read your entire project thread, every post, watched every video, in one sitting :tard: . Then I figured after spending the better part of a few hours reading it I may as well take the 2 minutes to create an account and make a post ;-).

Lookin damned good man! I love the stealth engine bay, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing.

Wish my car was doing as well as yours :-(. Not trying to steal the thread, but a just a quick update on my 5ktq. Been sitting in my garage for 11 months after I destroyed the block last May. Actually blew it up 3 times in 3 months last year, worst part that all 3 were out of my own stupidity rather then something breaking under the stress. Moneys been tight, seems like my now 2 year old son eats it and there's another kid on the way. Last pull on a mild amount of nitrous was almost 4 years ago and 397whp, but I've done alot of work since (thanks again for those injectors Javad!!). I actually got it assembled enough to start last week and ran it for a few seconds, but my fuel return line has dry rotted from sitting so long and leaks. Maybe I'll start a project thread, but I'm embarrassed of putting my POS up with the sort of stuff that shows up here!!

Hey Cody! Great to hear from you, it's about time you showed up here. Don't you hate it when silly grown up things get in the way of the car habit? I've been pinching pennies and living with the in-laws for almost a year now so we can buy a place out here. Luckily I think we're going to put an offer in on a place this week that will make it all worth it.

Two 1mm nozzles at 100 psi. Might be a little much, I need to play with it a little.

Maybe being in Cali has changed his views on driving. He's gone all eco friendly and now drives a Honda FCX Clarity (electric). :P

BWHAHA, Green my ass!!

I definitely bought something! It's all for the common cause... I'm the first to admit I've been working way to f'n hard, and not on the car. I'll post a little update this weekend. OK, it's a major update, just not to the car. :bump:
