I really like the Dual headlights.

not so much on the make shift grill, though.

those wheels look like some Ronal R38?

They look good on the car regardless.

I got into contact with the owner, turns out it's an in progress project. It will be going v8 with a bunch of other goodies. I pointed him towards the Project Pad, I hope he jumps on here!!!

That's my 4kq!! It looks lifted on the front because I sold the eibach's off the front because I have Ground control coil-overs that I need to install. The front headlight buckets are from a '78 5k that I found in a stack getting ready to be crushed. I wanted something different so I narrowed the buckets by about 1 inch then had them powder coated and installed some Cibie lenses. I'm looking for some big brakes so if anyone wants to sell I might be interested in buying!!

Welcome to the board Quattroguy! Glad to see you made it! Are you planing on staying 4x108 or are you going to bump it up to 5x112?

If you have the list of swap parts nailed I would consider going to 5x112......not many choices for 4 x 108

Breakdown of parts:
1. 5kqt Front struts (Mine are none UFO and sport the g60s)
2. 5kqt Rear Hubs
3. URQ Shocks
4. URQ Lower BJ's
5. MK2 Golf Outer Tie rod ends
6. Another set of Rear 4kq CV shafts to swap into the front

This of course is only one way to get the job done, there are a lot of guys that update to B3 stuff in order to get rid of the 1pc strut housing. I just went with the 5kqt set up. Another advantage is any B5 A4 big brake kit bolts right up to the front stuts. (That's how I'm running the Boxster non-S calipers)

I didn't know that the round buckets were rare......lucky me I guess. If anyone is interested I have a 20vt out of a 5ktq that I want to get rid of. It's on an engine stand and only has about 75k miles on it. Make me an offer! Also I might be willing to sell the 3inch exhaust I built in anticipation of a turbo swap but I'm now going with a V8.

Post that sucker in the swap meet area with pics! :) PLUS you should start up a project thread on it (the 4kq) man!

Cool, welcome to the board quattroguy. As far as BBK's go you will probably need to fab something up unless you go with a 5 lug swap that allows you to use RS2 brackets(034 or Apikol) then you can bolt on some Big Red's or Blacks. Another option is to do the swap like Ben did his and have him make you a set of brackets so you can use the boxster calipers like we both have on our cars. Its pretty rere to find someone selling a BBK for our cars since they are basically NLA. Best of luck, and start a build thread on here.

Welcome to the forum.

Do you have a v8 ready to go already or did you need one? I have a 40v I would like to offload with 56k on it. I would even be willing to bring it up to boise.

I used adapters for an A4 to fit the Boxster non-s calipers on the front of mine.

So you're still on b2 suspension using only an adapter/bracket for your bbk?

The rear is still B2 and the front is out of a 5kqt.
