Taco's 2001 2.7t A6: A new beginning

Post by AngryTaco »

Soooooo......picked this up today for well......free (did some labor work for a friend on his Eurovan)

Basically it needs a bumper, hood/grille, and some minor body work on the passenger bumper mount. Only has something like 108k on it and runs/drives perfect

Gotta fix the bumper mount on the frame and it's good to go.

Don't try to fix...get a new frame extension and bolts. Like 9 million bolts from every impossible a angle but it bolts in and will be better long run.

Prepping my 91 M5 Dinan for sale to fund 07K and EFR build for my UrQ. May also sell Lotus Elan resto project. PM if interested in either.

Oh really? I thought it was all one piece. Yeah I'd much rather do that than try and straighten it out. I'm not too familiar with these newer cars

Would you happen to have a link to the frame extension? I think I found one on Rockauto but it's only like $9. Seems a little low for a piece of metal

Score!!!

Commence 2.7t headaches, but it should be worth it when it's for free! :)

First thing first, I need to fix the body and A/C condenser then bring it in for a state inspection once all the damage has been fixed.

After it's properly titled and everything, I'm going to drive the piss out of it to see if I like it and possibly keep it. If I choose to sell it, I'm going to have a pretty penny for my Tig welder :)

Swap out the bitch shift too.

The power band on a k04 car is pretty meaty.

All depends on money honestly. Im using my student loans to basically get caught up with HPR and everyones subframe bushings due to lack of payments. I'm tired of making other people wait.

It would be pretty cool to have an 01e A6 with some k04s
