Fueling changed after install of BOV

Post by nsimps »

Weird situation here but here goes:

- Installed a BOV last week but there was something odd about it. The pressure release wasn't a solid release but sounded more like the old S1 (a flutter if you will).
- Drove it around like that, not super hard but did boost it a few times (had some laughs of course).
- Drove fine just with the fluttery pressure release. However, after leaving it sit late night while eating some dinner and on start up it ran like crap. sputtering a lot whenever you got into boost. Like just the slightest amount of boost.
- Limped it home (30 miles or so)
- Swapped out the BOV for the Diverter
- Drove it around and is a little better but still not great.

Here's a link to my log file if anyone has a few minutes to take a look. DropBox link - https://www.dropbox.com/s/9alxzuvkmvfwy2f/v3.3_u009145-2014.10.27-08.45.25.vemslog?dl=0

Forgive my noobness on this. I have been going through the VEMS tutorial videos but still very new to me.

Thanks!

I talked to nick about this, but i figured i'd post it here to. Nick also filled up with gas at a shitty gas station within 15 minutes of swapping the DV to a BOV as well. I have a feeling that the BOV was more of a coincidence

I put some octane booster in the tank this evening and after driving it for a few miles the sputter all but stopped.

Stupid craptastic Utah gas! That's it, I'm going E85.

Now that's a happy ending, sort of lol. That's the kind of issues that scare me about going standalone. It doesn't automatically switch maps like the stock ECU in these situations. The community strikes/helps again!
