Did you do that by accident?

no, but my free painter painted mine on. had to get them off, and it sorta sucked as i did not want to wreck the freshly painted struts :tard:

aaron, did you notice that your front strut caps were tough as schit to get off, but your rears were/are a breeze? my fronts i only get about one or two threads on and then i need to use big lock pliers to tighten them any further, the rears though, i can thread all the way on until theres nothing left...just by hand.

i had not noticed, and funny thing, i have been doing many of these lately, putting the Bilstein HD Sport struts in my Lago strut housings. the housings they came in do not have swaybar tabs.... maybe i should just weld some tabs on, i think it would be easier....

i will pay attention when i do the fronts.... but some i do remember being hard as hell.

plus, i use a 2 foot aluminum pipewrench. plenty of leverage :D

the rears, smooth as silk, allday everyday.

the fronts...i almost threw across the garage last night while attempting to thread the cap on.

well, i played coil-over-builder again today. i changed to a two piece rear strut, so i had to do another setup.

and i see what you are saying.... i took apart four rears today, and two were hand tight!!! and then i took apart two fronts, and man i thought i was gonna break something they were so tight :wtf:

so i wish i had a good powdercoater friend around :D some fully PC'd suspension would be the BIZ....

but, i guess having a good CAR painter buddy is good enough.....

maybe take a grinder with a wire wheel to the threads, clean them out some?

if you wreck any of them, i do believe i have a COMPLETE setup, front and rear, struts and spindles/hubs, from a 20V 90Q layin around. they's spare parts now :D imma use them to roll the car around on. and when we paint, i dont want to get paint on my pretty struts/springs :D

oh i know it looks good. for mine: the Euro Cab came on the Lago when i bought it but no lighting. it was much cheaper to get the S2 WITH lights than to get the lights for the Cab bumper. so that is how i based that decision. use the Cab bumper on the race car, it dont need no steengking lights anyhow.

i just like the rs2 for the....holy shit thats a pretty big intercooler on that kids 20 year old audi....factor. not saying it doesnt look pretty all on its own, its just that the above factor...had me sold.

any luck on rs2 headlights abroad by the way?

no. i bid on like 10 sets of regular lights, and only won the one set. i got mine BTW, and the driver side top tabs broke in shipping. so i had Mike send me just the back housing with tabs intact.

i did bid out pretty far for a set of RS2 projectors WITH HID's already installed. but it got to be even more than i wanted to pay for them.

i keep looking.... i do not know about you, but i dont want to spend too much on them. the B4 solid 1 pc do look good though. H4/H1's.

and there is always the rice.

the rice i wanna stay away from.

the solid b4 h4/h1's i could live with if i had to.

i just wanted to get the rs2 projectors so i could hook up HID ballasts to them and be on my way...

just cruised it again. nothing. one set, but has a broken top tab. H4/H1....

the singles are 80-120 Euro apiece!

i will keep it fresh, and keep looking. i do usually browse it once a week at least.

or you can look on ebay.de.... search for audi b4 scheinwerfer, or audi rs2 scheinwerfer, or audi s2 scheinwerfer, or audi coupe scheinwerfer.

just make sure you look closely at them, and see that they have all the tabs, and even the tab in the front lower corner for the trim. i have a driver side that does not have that trim piece, never came with it. ???
