Re: Andy's 91' 80q
Well. I got the rieger b4 rs2 abs plastic replica front bumper on finally. The b4 90 fenders I got make it fit so much better then the b3’s.
Re: Andy's 91' 80q
Nice!
Gonna need a profile and 3/4 shot to see more about the bumper--->fender transition.

Ignore the crappy spray paint job on the fenders
Re: Andy's 91' 80q
I gotta say, it looks quite funny with the 14" wheels still on it. Otherwise looking very nice

I do have these
Re: Andy's 91' 80q
Not bad from here, those Reiger bumpers have always been well regarded. Also, have had a soft spot for Turbo Twists on Coupes for exactly one forever.

Re: Andy's 91' 80q
Thanx man! I think the rears are too wide to work. But I might be able to use 4 fronts. I’m looking for wheel part# 993 362 134 06. Will 18x7.5 wheels work on a b3 without rubbing?
Re: Andy's 91' 80q
Depends on the et and what brake/hub setup you're running. Also, some tyres are effectively +1 size based on contact patch compared to others. I know it was a bit of a shock when I installed some Dunlop Direzza Sport Star Specs after my hub/brake swap.

Ok. Thanx. I’m still debating. Long time till it’s ready for thatPRY4SNO wrote:Depends on the et and what brake/hub setup you're running. I was able to rust proof the rear subframe and get all the bushings and mounts in. Also I used the same pcv elbow I used for the trans breather on the rear diff breather too. Can’t go down so I removed the gas tank and found a spot behind it too drill the hole.

Re: Andy's 91' 80q
Got the oil coolers in place with one mount each and good ole painters tape. It looks better now with the bumper on. I used two Setrab 50-616-7612 coolers. Barely fit behind the bumper.
Re: Andy's 91' 80q
Why two oil coolers?

Re: Andy's 91' 80q
One for the engine and the other is either for the engine or transmission. But for now my transmission is looped with no cooler. Not sure how hot these engine oil temps get under heavy use especially since it’s 95 degrees down here right now. The air gap under the intercooler is for the trans cooler if it gets to that point.PRY4SNO wrote:Why two oil coolers?

Those coolers look awesome in the bumper openings, well done.

Thank u very much! I was going for looks hoping for overkill. It took me a while to find ones that cover the openings nicely.vt10vt wrote:Those coolers look awesome in the bumper openings, well done.

Getting closer to finishing the front end. Everything added is just tac welded right now. All I need is the trans cooler and it’s finished

Re: Andy's 91' 80q
Since when I think I left off I was able to put a 1/4” hose barb fitting in the front of the intake manifold. Mounted a Mini Cooper electric power steering pump and transmission cooler.
Re: Andy's 91' 80q
Some nice progress for sure. Would love to see your transmission cooler solution when you're able to upload some photos.

It fits below and behind the intercooler in the gap between it and the bumper
Here is a pic without the trans cooler with the bumper on

Re: Andy's 91' 80q
Thank u! I’m pretty happy with the way it’s going as well. I wanted to shove as many of the biggest coolers I could come up with for every system behind the bumper. The coolers I use are SetrabPRY4SNO wrote:Some nice progress for sure. Would love to see your transmission cooler solution when you're able to upload some photos.
53-10746-01 for the DSY 01E
50-616-7612 for x2 Engine oil
001001001-TF Wagner tuning short path intercooler
Since the Mini Cooper electric power steering pump has overheating issues from the get go. I’m putting a Setrab 53-10745-01 cooler in the pumps suction hose in front of the radiator. The ZF pump never had a cooler for it in the system. Just a fan blowing on the pump itself. Also it’s right behind one of the engine oil coolers. So I gotta plumb the cooler in 2nd in line to help keep the heat down. The pump had a 100 amp fuse and one of the small wires you had to give it 12v and once you take the volts away it comes on. So I tapped into the tiny starter wire. Haven’t tested it yet but will sooner or later.
I decided I’m going to run the engine at idle before I go crazy. Gotta use starter fluid for a second until it idles right then shut it off because the fuel system isn’t done yet. Check this crap out LMFAO

Just one pump. Fuelab prodigy brushless pump. Good for 700hp. The pre pump filter is 75 micron and the after pump filter is 6 micron with a check valve. The electrical fpr sends a signal to the pump to lower the pumps output as needed.
