The AK Motorsports stuff looks great, but you will be happy with it all just being new!

I'm in Desperate need of front end work.... I do plan to just go in and change every worn bushing all at once with coilover setup..
I'll prep for the worst and expect the best... hopefully wheel bearing aren't part of the equation though... I think those are the only things that don't need replacing...
Which Control arms are you thinking of going with?

In my opinion you should do the wheel bearings if you have the struts off unless they've been done in the last 100-150k or so.

Jim- The front end will feel like new;or better, but the rear has never been touched. That's next. I'll do all the poly from AK first (I still have the Apikol center diff mount that did a few thousand miles on my last UrS car sitting on the shelf). Then it's time to consider proper damping. I really like the new idea using the long spring and threaded rear shock, I just need to figure out how to mirror it up front.
Obi- I have had a set of Dorman arms sitting around for ages. They didn't come with outer bushings, so I recently picked up a set of Beck Arnley arms for <$10 each that did. I also got a few sets of AC Delco outer bushings for $3 per arm that were made in Germany and even had the audi part # viSable and the rings ground off. I think those bushings are genuine audi seconds. Considering that I can change the pair of arms in less than an hour and have an alignment rack at work I don't see the need to spend $$$ on OEM parts, particularly with poly bushings that can be easily swapped.

Re: roortube's UrS6 Avant...now playing with Alfas
The Audis have been sitting for a while. I have the engine out of the UrQ for replacement with a built DOHC, either AAN other 07K. Over the Summer my wife's S6 broke the timing belt 30k early amd passed me off enough that I haven't touched it in 5 months. My S6 avant runs great but the rust continues its slow progress.
A few months back I accepted a job as service manager for the local Alfa Romeo dealership. Very cool cars. The 4C is amazing to drive for an hour but not much more. I'm still considering a lease on one for fun, but rates aren't quite beneficial due to residuals. I've gotten a fee hundred miles driving the Giulia Quadrifoglio and it's an amazing car. I'll probably pick one up soon. No other car sounds like it does, and the steering is amazing.
