This was the message attached to my refund.

"Note from ABC Moving Columbus
We have not had enough interest in the group food event this year and unfortunately with logistics need to cancel. Thank you for participating and hope you still enjoy Carlisle and see you there!"

We'll eat the foody like groceries

So, should we start a project pad food group now? Maybe just simple stuff like pizza and sandwiches?

I updated the thread about food. Its tough and expensive, not to mention a huge time commitment. Kudos for the Columbus crew for handling the food in years past. Attendance is down, not much cash coming in, and we would likely take a bath in terms of the food so we decided to pull the plug early.

Still waiting to hear back from Scott on if he is doing shirts this year.

Were they bringing the grill in the past too? If there's a way to cook, i'd certainly help but I can't lug a grill from Cincinnati in my coupe

The party coupe! Dual 15" speakers, grill/cooler combo, and tool box of course. Also fit in 2 camping chairs, a tent, 2 sleeping bags, and other camping necessities. I can bring the grill again this year but its unlikely it'll be enough to feed more than 10-20 people tops in a timely fashion.

You'd think the fairgrounds would have the ability to provide grills or possibly rent them out.

Although they do sell food so they would probably rather we all buy food than make it ourselves.

We rented a large grill and tanks, which isnt cheap. In the very early shows (2004, 2005, etc) we had a few small grills and divvied out what people would bring. Things got large, attendance wise, and we started having people cook. This was a double edged sword as they would spend more time cooking than enjoying the show. I'm all for somebody wanting to take on the cooking and coordination of this. It is a lot of work and time commitment but is rewarding ;)

Hey Guys! Just signed up today. First year. Very excited. I'll be there with the 4000. Any chance somebody might be available to do some quick VEMS tuning while we're there? I've got the HX35's new (larger) hot side on the car finally but I won't have a chance to dial it in or turn up the boost. Running just fine around 18psi at the moment.

Looking forward to putting faces to names. See you guys there!

I'm sure there will be tuning opportunities. Look around for Nick S., me (Chris), and others around here for help. I'll be there Saturday only.

Sounds like you might need to throttle back a bit so you actually have some to bribe him with...

I'll be there in the RS4 with Magellan in his 200, also have a few classic Japanese enthusiast friends coming down in their Mitsubishi Galant vr4 and Sapporo or some other quirky ride as well. I cant wait! Last year was a great time and I'm looking forward to doing it again! Glad I double checked their calendar, I was convinced for the longest time that it's next weekend! now I know its 20-22... If all goes according to plan, (as the previous plans fell through) I'll be taking delivery of the Tubi and (hopefully) installing it there! bringing a sharpie, sawzall and a tool kit! :drive: I'd be in for a Tshirt as well. Who is interested in a local beer swap?! I can bring a couple sixers or twelvers of the best New England has to offer. Ciders, ales, lagers, make an order! :D
