Hey I figured this site could use some gun banter and I wanted to see what people think of the bullpup rifle configuration. I have a milled Norinco SKS with an ATI folding stock that it came with. Great rifle with chromed barrel. I recently came across the drop-in bullpup conversion stock kits that run about $80 more than the the rifle to begin with. I'm looking at the SKSAR for $327 or SKS Pug III right now for $345.
Anyone done this or used a similar company's conversion?
BTW this is what I'd consider a functional upgrade since I have complaints about the current stock's rickety parts associated with the folding area. Moves alot at the shoulder as a result. Also this ATI didn't come with picatiny rails underneath nor does the mounting area look like it has all the required pieces to put a rail on. I can basically justify the buy.
Well let's hear it I guess
Ignore my P32 keltec carry pistol. It shoots baby carrots lol

Hah I'd given up on this thread. Exercise the 2nd. That AK looks in good shape. I never got the bullpup conversion seeing as my 5000 has become increasingly problematic. Need a new prop shaft most likely as well as the new alternator quit yesterday. Also we have my brothers AR he just hand built. And it will need shot of course lol

The ak shoots nicely, but I need a front sight tool for it. I still haven't been able to dial it in because of that. I have to compensate with the rear sight instead.

I believe they go for around $15 at cheaperthandirt. Mine uses the same tool. I got it used at gander mt for about $285 with a trade in and saw a few days ago a yugo sks for $560 but they are overcharging as usual imo.
That's a nicely balanced collection. What is that under the flashlight? Another one that you shake to recharge?

For real though, it is a 3 Watt laser that can... no... WILL burn your retinas out at long, long distances. I don't really know why I put it or the flashlight in that pile, I guess I was just checking out some of my cool, but dangerous stuff and decided to take a picture of it all together lol.
I need to get a flashlight for the Mossberg. I just got a mount for one, but I haven't pulled the trigger just yet on an all American made flashlight with foregrip switch.

I've seen that on youtube I think. Purple fleurescent beam? I see that funny kid with the channel recorded at his house and in a college Chem lab making them all the time and lighting shit on fire. That channel is the best. Must be fun

Haha, I haven't seen that. This is a custom build (body was made by someone in Dubai or something, and the internals were all selected and assembled by someone in Canada). It does light stuff on fire very easily though haha. I mostly use it to shoot giant moths out of the sky and kill stink bugs at work. The beam is blueish, violetish on this one, but you have to wear special glasses when you use it, so I don't see it much!

Thought it would funny to mention that my gun club is hosting a zombie-themed shooting competition. I'm borrowing my brothers full size 9 mm for it. There will be an I door course requiring using cover and shooting from door frames and windows. I'm getting psyched about it!
