7A piston rings

Post by type85 »

Doing a rebuild on my 7a "T" project, looking for OEM 82.5mm rings (053 198 151 or 054 197 151B), all i can find are single piston sets for $140ea!, that's $700 for all 5, I could buy JE pistons for a little more that that! Is there a cheaper alternative?

The ring specs are 1.5mm, 1.75 (with the little "step") and 3mm for the oil control ring,

Pics of some of the action so far:

Thanks! I have 1 lead from Audifans on rings...

I am also interested in other items from your fine establishment:

20v fuel rail, stainless injector bungs, hardened crank timing gear, possibly coated bearings and even rods...?

Dan, I think I have a 7a fuel rail you can have for the cost of shipping. I will check.

I was going to say the same thing. I'm about to throw one in the junk pile.
