Fuckit. Just go buy a hellcat

I approve of this message. Or you could go the route my buddy did and buy a T-bird. (A T-33 that is, while you're entertaining becoming a real glutton for punishment!) 8-)

lol. I'm going to list it for sale, doesn't mean it's going to sell. I have a feeling that if someone comes to test drive it it will be gone, though.

So I'm running the car at 26psi peak to 23psi redline. It's fast as fook. Even though we took a degree out of the map after tuning, I'm running the same timing due to cooler iat on the road. I'm guessing 380+whp right now. The car also spools about 200rpm sooner on the street which sounds good but is totally unnoticeable.

I'm looking into playing with some race gas or trying to get some e85 drums. I also have access to avgas (ll100). People say the lead will kill my 02 sensor but there's more lead in c16 and no one complains...

I picked up an 80/90 3 spoke sport wheel, the price was right :)
Only thing is, the hub doesn't work. Where can I get a hub for a 4k for this thing? My searches are coming up empty. It looks like it will be easy enough to modify to make work, basically the past that accepts the splines is too far out so I can't thread the nut on, and the signal cancel is on the wrong side. If I can get a hub cheap enough I won't hack it up.

I'll take a pic. The horn is also different. 4k has a ring where the 80/90 has a little button.

Found a hub, waiting for the auction to end. Also have a Momo wheel. The sport wheel won't fit on the momo hub as far as I can tell, so it looks like that dilemma solved itself. Momo wheel it is, which I do like because it's 350mm vs 370mm.

Also found a brand new black Sparco 4pt harness semi-locally. Dad is by chance in that area tomorrow so he's picking it up. The seats, wheel, and harness should really make the car feel AWESOME-r. Time to take it to a track methinks.

No opinions on AVGAS?

Chaloux I for one understand your plight, and agree that money is nice and you can literally always build another one if this car doesn't have sentimental value to you.

That being said, if you were to sell it you would never lose your skills and you can always have another 4k :)

Oh heeells yes! Almost don't want to say what I paid for this... Let's just say half :)

Brand new in box. Going to mount both lap and chest from the same ring. I think it was supposed to come with 4 rings but only came with two... Oh well, it's really not a big deal.

Won my hub off ebay, have the wheel, just waiting for shipping now :) Anyone need a hub for an 80/90/S2 etc?

I drilled/mounted/welded nuts for the eyelets onto my seat frame yesterday for the harness (well, dad did the welding). I love it. 39 week pregnant Sarah, notsomuch

So what all do I need for an 01E swap? Mounts, spacer... are there two spacers? On the IMS site it lists the mounts as coming with a spacer. Is this the same spacer for the driveshaft? Or are we talking two different spacers here? And what about the linkage bastardization I keep hearing about?

A spacer comes with Hanks mounts just for the bracket. You need a spacer for one axle or a early 90 axle, but I haven't been able to figure out which one. For the shifter you could use a b5 shift box and linkages, or modify the o1e ball by putting the o16 ball on and using the stock set up, you also need to fab a cross over bar thing or buy Hanks.

you will need to build a shifter box ( tunnelmods) to use the b5 s4 stuff, although its worth it and feels nicer

the easiest way to do it is, swap the large ball socket from the urS linkage, via cutting it off nicely and welding it onto 4kq linkage. you just need to open up the hole in the 4kq linkage for the larger ball, and make a small bracket for the x-rod

also chaloux… just some food for thought……

the 016 only starts shredding gears in 2nd gear (over 415whp) from what I've read… Since it looks like your traction is kind of null and void from 1-2… you could always set something up very simply that would manually control the boost based on gear selection.

IE;

400whp - 1st gear - 2nd gear
500+ 3rd, 4th, 5th.

Just something i've considered for my own future.

Thanks boys.

Well, I'm not worried about the 016 breaking but I think my clutch is wearing out. The clutch engages high on the pedal throw and i already checked it for adjustment. If I have to replace it soon that changes things because I'm not buying two clutches.

In other news, my interior is now basically complete! Just need the front seats refinished or at least redyed...
