Oh man, that stinks! Hope all is OK (other than the car). Sounds like you'll be building that 20v GTR killer a little sooner than later?

That is some serious BS :(

Guys,

I appriciate the concern, but im alright just hit my leg on the arm rest and a small cut on my cheek from the glass. Just sucks seeing all that time and effort being destroyed that fast.

So this is how it went down. I had left to work and forgot my scanner at home so i can check out one of our work trucks that didnt wanna start. I had like 25 min to spare so i figured i would go back and get it. I pulled to the turning lane and was waiting. There was a bunch of traffic, which seems to be getting worse here in denver. So the light turned red and the line began to get longer, a random dude in a 80's chrysler stopped and gave me room to turn. I couldnt see if anything was coming in the next lane. The dude in the chrysler was waving me to go, so i went :bangshead: and this older lady was flying (im guessing she was in the lane that had stopped and she took the other open lane to movr up). When i saw her flying towards me i gunned it to try and clear it but she ended up hitting me. She didnt even brake she just hit me i spun 180º and now the 20v is a parts car. I am glad it was just me, and that i only got a bruise and small cut. It could have been alot worst.

Gtjeff: thats acutally its not a bad idea a 90 coupe has really been on my mind.

Themagellen:  but the whole passenger side is bad. The front passanger wont open. Im sure its not gonna be a better replacement.

Drewc: its yours, im only intrested in the engine and tranny. Everything is up for grabs.

DE80q: 20vt 90 coupe dont sound like a bad deal. It could always be swapped out later for an 07k ;)

Loxxider: yeah thats the bright side. I really wanted to take my time and build the 20v the right way. From the ground up, hopefully soon ill have some videos of the 20v running around.

Fuck man, I am so happy you are OK after reading that. These cars can really take a fucking hit, on the bright side you at least have every part you need for the 20v build.

Hope to see some big updates on the other thread - let us know if you need anything!

My vote would be a cheap 4000 csq, it is just too damn easy to swap - take a peak over at angry taco's thread from the beginning, that thing ran a 13.6 on stock CIS last year… and just look what he's doing now :O

But really, 4ktq's, if done correctly, are pretty damn reliable. I put mine together and drove it daily for a few years before I sold it. The only issue I had was a faulty pilot bearing, but that was a fluke. Great car to accept a 20vt (or 20vt) motor :). I'm a CIS nut and think they are too simple to keep running correctly IF you take the time to learn about them. If not, frustration mounts, and shit wont stay working ;)

HA HA VERY FUNNY :we:

Sorry to see the car get wrecked man. I just read through the thread and it put a smile on my face seeing how well the hoses worked for you. I'm agreeing with these guys on the 4ktq setup though. I'll be selling my urq intake setup soon if you decided go that route. Glad you are ok

Yeah the isv hoses are what made the biggest difference in my car. Helped the idle be really smooth. Have you ever considered making the hose that connects to thev back of the cis boot and then goes to a plastic 90º elbow then to the 3-way breather hose? Sorry i dont know the name of it. I appriciate the offer but fot now all my funds arevgoing to the 20v so she can be road worthy and so i have a car since the 20v was my daily.

good to hear, I bet in a year or two you'll be looking back on this with a built 20v thankful that you were forced into fixing it quickly :)

Maybe. If the so called "CAM" or whatever is the issue, why use it? ;) The high hp CIS stuff has been beaten down over the years. I love seeing another 20vt here but man, you are a glutton for punishment :P

If you can get me a picture, I will let you know. I may or may not have one of those hoses in stock. I ditched so much of that stuff putting the engine in a small chassis car. Even more of it is getting eliminated with VEMS. Now that the rings have finally suffered their ultimate death, the car is getting some serious renovations now.

I am talking about the vacuum hose on the left. It runs behind the ISV, it connets to the tee hose threw a plastic 90º elbow ( i wish some one made a metal version of the elbow, i have crushed like 3 with the hose clamp.) The other end connects to the back of the cis boot.

Im gonna have to keep a close eye on your thread. Ive always wanted to do VEMS on the 20v. I guess i got alot of reading to do, to see what you've gone threw.
