Can somebody photoshop these wheels on my car?





My current tires are about done, and I want to do 255s this time around. FYI, the tires I had (hankook Venus v12s) were awesome tires, and they come with a 60$ rebate with the tire rack right now. Basically 400 shipped for awesome tires.

I have a few more updates on the car, but no pictures.... we all know that it does not happen unless there are :pics: :pics:

That does look great in white. I am going to try and round some up in 17x9 and run 255-40-17s. I like them because they are under 250$ a wheel, weigh 15.9lbs and are available up to 9.5" wide and are pretty darn strong. I like the Comps, but they need to lose a bunch of weight and get good widths before I consider them.

My SSR Comps are 17x8.5 and sub 16lbs IIRC. They've held up great so far but eventually fatigue will get to them too. This wheel might suitable replacement.

I like them on the UrQ specifically.

The 17x9s are 15.9lbs in a 38mm offset. They offer them in 48 and 18 IIRC. Before you get too excited, they are all 5x114.3mm hole patterns, and must be redrilled to 5x112. They are 12mm studs instead of 14mm, so the original holes can literally be machined over to get to 14mm. I guess those without CNC access should account for that as well in the cost. Jim Green had somebody do it, and he was into it about 200 bucks when it was all said and done.

they also make wobble bolts(to fix the 5x114.3 prob) although ive never heard of them failing i would be weary about putting them on the beast.

I really like the SSR Comps and own 2 sets in that 17x8.5 for the Beatah. I run the nicer set with summer tires and the not so nice with the track tires. Here's a cou[ple of pics of the Wintah Beatah showin the lubs with some kind of SSRs.

FWIW I have used wobble bolts on that bolt pattern and it worked really well. little touch up with a file or rotary file and the bolts and good to go.

I just hate how expensive they( 100 bucks for a set). That is half of what it would cost for somebody else to re drill. I will probable just re drill the set and make it easy to swap between wheels.

Don't forget the Kosei TS 1's .

They're identical to the Enkei's. Same cold-cast production, about 1lb heavier in 17x8 et 35 5x112.

Brian Weldon ran them on his Red UrS6 a few yrs ago. They pop up used occasionally but I heard they are still sold new. I know Tire Rack had them at one time, but not sure if they still do.

I had forgotten that bit. When I went with the bigger front brakes and 18s, I sold the 2 sets of 17s I had for the Monster not realizing I would need them for the Beatah. Did you get the track set or the nicer set?

I don't remember mine being horrible expensive. I got mine online from lakeshore tire and wheel. Question for a_ CQ ever see them fail?

I watched Jim run wobble nuts on his car a full two day track session. They do make a stud version so you could run both wheels on Tue same stud and just use the nut depending on the wheel. Still, they are 3.50 a nut and 3 bucks a 14mm to 12mm stud

yes but at the same time next time you are looking for a set of wheels you can look for 114.3 wheels and not have to worry about redrilling them.


i like the option of looking for 5x144.3 wheels because european style wheels in JDM spec are usually not a big seller and they come cheaper


as far as their track worthiness, yeah i probably wouldnt run them on the track but the reality is that your going to be running a different set of wheels on the track(at least i would) so i would just source a set of cheap 5x112 wheels for that purpose.


now if your like peter and you are always on the track then yeah, their value is worthless because of studs.

Hank, I drilled and tapped my UrQ hubs to 114.3 with 12x1.5mm so I could use practically any wheel I wanted. The 14mm holes on the rotors are big enough that I just line up the holes I need. There is also plenty of meat on the old hubs since they aren't relieved on the back side. I am using some old Rays LMGT2 wheels that were originally meant for the old skylines.
