Got it running! Coil was completely at fault for the stumbling and non-running/starting issue.

That said, it's still over-boosting and i've ruled out everything I can. Working w/Marc on the tune to see what's up.

glad you got my cars twin running properly, heh.

We might really be twins within the next year as I am also planning on going with a billet K26/Marc Tune/42# injectors at some point after I get married next May.

I hope to see some dyno results at some point!

Yeah, found me a keeper (I convinced her to sell her '06 civic for a 330Cic and she doesn't hate the 200)

Ah, too bad you are so far, I'd hire a fellow (I almost said "geeker"!) audi fan.

On the Billet k26 and EFIexpress tune?

Marc just shipped me the revised chipset today. I installed an AEM wideband/boost gauge that will help me determine if I'm going to blow anything up.

Can't wait to give you some videos/dyno charts!

Well, no luck. The revised chips knocked me down to 12 psi instead of the 24 we were hoping for. Something's not right in the chips still...

3rd times a charm?

that is interesting - 24 psi will be well worth the wait I think :)

sorry to hear that Drew. its too bad you weren't closer, I'd give you a hand and figure out what the problem is. sounds like you may have a boost/vacuum leak.

as for dyno numbers, Hank told me they dyno'd Jeff's car running with Vems and E85 and came up with like 355 at the wheels give or take, and just under 400 torque give or take. I have close to the same setup in my coupe which made it relevant to me. these are the numbers I was looking for on my setup which makes me satisfied. those kind of numbers with stock style bolt on parts makes me happy, and was exactly where I wanted to be.

oh, and that turbo is capable of 32-33ish psi on E85. Now that's a kick in the butt dyno!

we've ruled out any hardware at this point. It was overboosting to 28psi on the original chip marc sent, spiking to 15ish-holding 12psi on stock boost w/upgraded fuel chips, and now i'm stuck at 12psi on the revised chipset...

barring any crazy hardware failures *while* swapping ecu's, we have to conclude it's the chipset

Believe me... It's on the table and being very seriously considered. The reason I went with the chip tune was to have something I didn't have to fuss with, but that didn't work. Having the future-proofedness of VEMS is becoming more and more attractive too.

having some issues figuring out whats wrong with the boost chip so we're taking the easy way out and putting a boost controller on it. I haven't had one of these cars local yet which makes troubleshooting the code difficult.

Is the wastegate stock, and is the wastegate spring stock? Has the spring been cranked down?

It should run at about 6psi with the N75 valve electrically unplugged if the wastegate is bone stock and unmessed with. That's where it needs to be for the boost control to work correctly, unless Marc completely reworked the N75 duty cycle table. If you were running 12 psi in limp mode on a stock wastegate, something's been played with.

6psi with no n75, 10-12psi despite my efforts to raise duty cycle for more. its something i'm doing wrong, but I have no local test car to diagnose properly what I'm doing wrong. fuel chip changes are working swimmingly.

Sounds like you need a 3b test car. Or, come to Denver and see the sites

I'm about 3 hours away and I'm willing to come up if it would be any help, but since my car is still on the stock turbo assume that may not be the case.

I'd kind of like to check out EFI Express anyway. I'm all for helping (If I can) get this setup solid for the 3B as I'm planning on going the same route for my car, hopefully sooner than later...

Feel free to message or email me if I can be of any help.
