I picked this car up a few months back from a friend who bid on it on ebay by accident and won it. he wanted one but not one that needed this much work. it came with alot of history and documentation which suprised me. somewhere along its ventures one of the owners had a bad idea to attempt to change the color of the car. it was originally a helios blue car but someome very poorly painted it white. this white paint job caused the car to rot prematurely. moisture got up under it and that was all she wrote. i've gone over the car and believe it or not that car is 100% there with some really cool extra performance parts too. some of the mods i found are that it has a larger exhaust than stock, it has an ECU that has been modified by superchips, im guessing that it also has an aftermarket wastegate spring and it potentially has a cam in it as well. here's some pics with whats going on.

Found the real smoked tail lights in a box in the trunk!! than my buddy pulls out the matching smoked euro plate filler to match it!!!


I decided to pressure wash the car once i got it home but to my suprise the crappy white paint job came right off.








i put everything back together for now and i retracted the front and rear bumpers so it doesnt look like i have a work bench on both ends of the car.

i had extra headlight surrounds from my 4000 so i sanded them and painted them with trim black along with the grill.

it came with an extra deck lid because the original one was in pretty bad shape. i installed the tinted tail lights and european smoked filler as well.

Some pictures of the superchips modified ECU. i've never ever seen one of these let alone knew this company modified ECU's for european cars. i've only ever seen intended accleration modified ECU's and thats about it.

I'll post a video of the car running and you guys can be the judge as to weather it has a cam in it or not. when i drove the car around i was seeing it hold close to 2 bar on the factory boost gauge on the dash so that leads me to believe there is an aftermarket wastegate spring in it too.
