Vems pnp speed sensor in urq

Post by carl »

Was wondering if anyone as done this on a pnp vems system keeping the analog dash ? Maybe hall sender picking up from the cv bolts? Not too sure how i could interface that to the pnp unit tho. Tried using a switch on the shifter but it's just too loose vertically to be precise for speed detection, even with new bushings on the linkage. Would need a ferrari style separator for that to work.

If anyone has the same problem and has a pnp unit, found this http://www.motorgeek.com/viewtopic.php?t=32325, tested and seems to be working. The vss was showing a duty cycle on the multimeter but the pnp unit wasn't recognizing it (guessing there is no conditioning chip). Looks like it needed to be fed a square wave to the pin. Kudos to Craig.
