Good call. I'll do that, and the tranny will last about 15 miles :)

Got everything back together out of need. How the heck I own 4 cars and only had one running is beyond me :) We are a two car family again!!!

Everything went pretty smoothly, and I took the oportunity to make heim joints on the stabilizer bar on the shifting linkage. It needs some fine tuning, as the gates are not very vertical, but the shifter is very solid now. I also shortened the lever on the trans to effectively shorten the shift even further. It is very short now.

Maybe I'll catch an SCCA event at Millers this weekend. I need to wire up a GPO for the radiator fan, as I want hi super sonic speed.

Way to go Hank!! It's about 114deg outside right now and not a lot cooler in the garage, which means that my Urqs probably won't get alot of love and..........well it's HOT!! How does the clutch feel with a new master, slave, and pilot??

It feels good. There isnt any chatter, or problems with it anymore. It is really impressive for a 600whp clutch setup. This is the Southbend I was hoping to get from the get go. The real bonus is how easily the shifter shifts now. It got rid of the notchy-ness.

It is about 99 degree's here, and it feels it. Good thing the shop is in the shade.. It stays about 80 degree's in there all the time. It is when I am out in the URQ that it feels so hot.

ALL the above and the radiator. I spent 2 hours running real wires and relays today after I melted the original wiring. In this heat, the thing runs half the time at the medium speed.

You better start talking the wife out of moving back to Las Vegas if you are going to whine about a measly 98deg day. That's just good springtime weather.

How about 102 with 90+ percent humidity? That is what it is like where I am from in South Jersey...... Yuck. lol....

Good job on the getting the car running again Hank. Maybe I'll have to take a drive sometime and check it out. Once I get a big turbo on my car, which I said I wouldn't do.... lol.... I love working at 034, but my wallet hates it. :D :D :D

Your wallet? I doubt the money ever makes it TO your wallet. Javad just pulls it out as you make it. You minds as well have a "will work for Turbo" sign...

Come on out. I wanna come down one of these days and throw the URQ on the dyno, so maybe I'll take you for a ride then.

You are SO right about that.... it really might as well never make it to the wallet. Right now the cylinder head is getting built with incolnel exhaust valves, upgraded springs, new intake valves, new guides/seals/lifters/retainers, 7a cams, MLS head-gasket, ARP head studs, & our high-flow RS2 rep cast manifold. Then maybe in another couple months I will get a big turbo. I need brakes and rear sway-bar first. :D :D :D

Yes, I will be there....

Peter, you posting reminded me to post the aluminum exhaust update...

It has done 1500 miles of city driving now. It has held up great except for the broken hanger that resulted in the rear section crashing on top of the rear diff mount, and it crushed it slightly. That was the hangers fault though(well really my fault for not replacing the OEM hanger that is 30 years old)

Got those injector Dynamics 1000cc injectors in from Marc Swanson. They are really sweet. WOT, they are flow the same as my old 1000cc injectors did, requiring no adjustment in tuning. The real difference was in the idle scaler. The car was running WAY lean at idle. It baffled me at first, and I second guessed my wiring job. Then I remembered that regular bosch injectors do not idle well because the PW is too low for them to open. I figured i must have just had them turned down really low, and they were very random at that rate. Anyway, I increased the idle scaler, and the car established a great idle again. The engine is very balanced again. I think that injector from RC that got ballanced after it melted my last motor is on it's way out again. Something is worng with it. My saving grace is probably the e85 I am running on this motor. I am going to toss the one and sell the set as a set of 4.

It rained like crazy in SLC today. I saw the sky, ran into my house to grab a camera. It was a tad to late once I got it out onto the road, but the shot was still kindof neat!!!

Awesome pics. I like the one with the moon showing through the clouds and all the color, but still light enough to see that bright white car of yours. It looks way good in those shots. The new injectors sound like a good thing also. LOL
