It's honestly the V8 bumper. The 18's look pretty big with the 200's stock bumper, there's pics of that on the first page (if those pics work on here, if not they do on motorgeek). The current tires are way too big though, 245/40/R18. Needs 235 or 225/40's.

Not a typical mode of failure, no.

Typically, you know you need to replace the thermoswitch because you start running hot (because the fan *isn't* coming on)

At least that's been my experience.

Someone from youtube wants to know what BOV you are using (of course). Can't see from your pictures, so what is it?

I used a heat gun to test my thermoswitch when I had my doubts about it working properly.

Anyone willing to trade front bumpers with me? I'm considering going back to stock front bumper and moving down to 17" wheels... going for something meaty.

Please let me know!

Hmmm... let me think about it. As long as everything will still fit behind it, I think I'd want it.

Ok, you keep thinking about it and so will I.... I was so pumped to go V8, but for some reason I find myself being pulled back. I do love the V8 look though. I would think you'll have more space up front, especially as you get to the lower part of the bumper.

Re: Casey's 200 20v: New Wheels

Post by WOMBAT »

Ok, the wheels arrived! I was going to go 17x10 all around but they are out of production for the foreseeable future and would have required some fender flaring (or the bolt on kind and I really considered it... maybe next time 8-) ). These are Mustang SC Motorsport wheels, 17x9 ET24, 5x114.3 with a center bore of 70.6. Yes I will run wobble bolts and have purchased hub centric rings.
