Hanks URQ 2.6L Autopsy
Nope, the early 4kq and URQ use the same pinion gear on the locker mechanism, where the +84 models all recieved the smaller gear/more teeth count on the locker mechanism. The only way to run the original flanges is to use an 84 4.11 box that is also one piece. This is how Richards car is setup in Vegas. I wanted the two piece to make it easier to scoot everything back when I decided to do that one of these days.
If it is one piece, it is a 84 piece out of a 4kq, if it is multi, you are running 4kq shafts as well, or somebody has figured out that rear big chassis cars(type 44s and c4) have flanges that will work too out of their locker setups. I imagine they will, I just dont have them on hand. Judging by how easily the rears twisted on my current setup, I doubt my old originals are much better as they endured clutch drops with r compounds on a prepped strip.

Update on the car, I swapped out wires from Dave's red coupe ( Thanks by the way, they will be making there way home when my new wires get here... ) after trying a second set and having the same problem, but slightly lower boost levels. THe misfire problem is fixed completly and we are back at 24psi clean. I want to log EGT and fuelp ressure before I really turn up the wick to the 33ish I have planned.
Lifters finally pumped up too. If Dave brings some steady hands at noon, perhaps we can load a video or two.

Ok than mine is done with the 'proper' one-piece diff, cuz I know I have the larger flanges / CV's... I'd still like to convert it over to Torsen internals at some point but that project is down the road a spell. To be honest I'd like a full Torsen car.

I'll wait and see how that exhaust holds up for you...but as for noise, yeah, it's not bad in your car but you have a turbo to muffle it, as I said earlier...big difference.
I have a gt35r with a 1.06 AR on it. That is basically an open 3" turbine the size and area of your collector at the bottom of your snakes. If it was a k24 behind it, I would understand the turbo muffler, but I have heard plenty of drag turbo cars that sound loud as hell opened up...
It sounds NA at idle and at anything under 3 grand....

22psi.. I need to get EGT's logged before any more boost is applied...
This info is just basd off the excel sheet Willie made a while back for hte different transmissions.

Just make sure you put in 245-40-17s for the right data, and look at the 20020vt 4.11 transmissions.. Adding an 8500 redline helpstoo.

You know Peter, I went back to look at the logs based off the same observation.. You will notice that the first truck is crossing the overpass as I start to turn into the yield. Those trucks do 75 all day long through that stretch..
Millers does an event one wends nghts for 30 bucks where they put in turns in the fast sections to keep the speed sub 100 mph and then it is a time attack sortof setup. I am set to go next wends.
Peter, you need t come to Utah and give the URQ a proper driver to go with all that power
