Wasn't even a launch, just rolled on it in first. Launch there would have been some marks and tire smoke

Re: AMD's 91 200q Project
Also, update. I replaced the radiator and finally got a good one. My cooling fan has been acting funny and really drew a lot of current to the point where the car would almost stall when it kicked on. When I was changing the radiator I noticed that it was physically hard to spin manually. I looked up a new cooling fan and yeah right, $480 from German Auto Parts. So I got a 10" slim fan and I'll see how that works. I'm sure it much less CFM but there's room for another if need be.

I think I am starting to have a similar problem with my S6. The clutch fan is a bit wobbly, too.
Is it possible to change both fans to generic slim fit electric fans and have them run off two different thermo switches?
135 for the clutch and 380 for the aux is just too much right now. Is it possible to open up the aux fan motor and rebuild it or something?

I have done this on VW's with satisfactory results. I don't know how the S6 fans are set up, but usually the thermoswitches are two-stage, with separate terminals for different temperatures. Very convinient!ChrisAudi80 wrote:Is it possible to change both fans to generic slim fit electric fans and have them run off two different thermo switches?

Re: AMD's 91 200q Project
Updated the VEMS firmware to 1.1.91 today and it seems as though it may have helped the trigger error/misfire issue slightly but it's still not gone.

Re: AMD's 91 200q Project
Changed the transmission fluid with OEM Audi G005000 gear oil. $21.75 per liter!!! It was funny because the dealer pulled them out and they were covered in dust, lol. I'd like to get the rear diff fluid changed as well but I can't seem to spot the fill hole, granted I didn't look all that hard. Looks like some things will have to be removed to access the fill hole.
Re: AMD's 91 200q Project
From what I can tell, you need to remove the passenger rear wheel, and you can see the fill plug through there. I still have yet to do mine. I've had the fluid ready to go in for the past 5 months. too much work...

Yep, and you need some tubing to go from the bottle to the fill plug

Re: AMD's 91 200q Project
I've got a neat little pump that fits on gear oil bottles with a hose attached to pump it in. I'll have to get on this.
