I'm a little bit jumpy even trying to use something that was on the cursed lago coupe or even in the same garage. :wink: I figure it will start it up just enough to get it out away from the garage and tools and then burn up.

You need the Coupe GT lines and resevoir to go with he lack of hyd booster.
If you need some I'll be at the parts Coupe and take them off... they won't be as pretty as you can find on the west coast, but I have it all.

Looking awesome, John. Keep up the detailed posts so I know what I'm supposed to do. I've almost got mine in full lightweight mode.
And, here's my take on this 'ownership' ordeal...we all know the looks and responses that come with working on 'your' car for hours, days, and years on end, and it is always much more acceptable to working on 'their' car, so in order to work on 'a' car, we've got to do what we've got to do--give 'them' a car that 'we' want to work on. If it makes you feel better to call it 'her' car, than so be it. I mean c'mon, how much easier has it been to justify working on 'her' car??? That's got to have something to do with the disparity of progress between his and hers...

I have a running, driving car that I love!!! And a 2.6L stroker with a billet 30R sitting on Hank's header that could possible be fully spooled at 25 psi and 3300 rpms.......MMMmmmmmm!!!

Looks really really nice John! If the bushings are too tight still, I used a spare stainess sleeve to make a ream to loosen up the control arm bushings. Most of these stamped arms are not perfectly round so they pinch the bushings a bit.

just because the AAN has it, always better to pull vapor from where hot gas likes to go, which is up.

Good progress, John. MC to vac booster seal...I don't know what the UrQ MC looks like, but the CQ/UrS MCs use square profile O-ring, nothing special.
With that prop valve handle pointing down, does it interfere with the tie rod if handle is in different position and/or tie rods are moving up/down/fore/aft? Probably ok, but pics angle makes it look so...

Don't forget the firewall brace, John. Last I knew 034 had bought the rights/design from Jeff Lewis. Or something like that. It bolts up to the MC and rack. Highly highly recommend it anybody with an urq, 4kq, CGT.....

either way i figured what im going to do and that is drill the distributor plug thread it and use some stainless brake line to make a breather tube that extends up as far as i can get it without interfering with the valve cover. also going to make some sort of shield to stop as much oil as i can. going to be much easier than trying to mess with attaching stuff to the valve cover.

I've been out of town for the past few days and some of those days have been at a cabin in the mountains of Utah where I didn't have cell or internet access. The other few days was spent up in Salt Lake doing family things and spending some time at the Lab with Hank. Thanks for all the comments and sorry for not responding.
The project did manage to move forward some however thanks to Hank and our time at the Lab.
Peter, do you know where I can find the square profiled o-ring? The Prop valve handle will easily clear. I don't think that it is far enough down to be a problem, but it is quite a ways forward of the tie rod. I really think that on top of that, because the car needs to be biased towards the rear more, the handle will never be straight down. Thought I had a picture. Sorry.
I still need to buy one, but other things keep coming up. The goal is to have one before I add brake fluid and bleed.

It just gets worse when it gets to a high strung boosted motor, because blow-by will be greater with the added boost and most likely higher rpms. Like I said before, the trip to the Lab was productive. I felt like I couldn't just keep waiting on the EFR Borg Warner turbo and still have a fighting chance of making the Vegas GTG. Because I have His Urq that will eventually be a more track oriented car, I made the decision to go with a Hank built tube manifold and downpipe and run the HTA billet wheel 3076 turbo that I had already purchased for the hotrod Urq. The only time it has seen is when I let Hank and Jim Green dyno it on Jim's car down at 034's place. Just enough time and heat to take the shine off of the Tial SS hotside housing. Once the decision was made, Hank and I put in some long hours in between family stuff to come up with something that would work.

I went the 38mm for the low profile and because I don't plan on running a really big turbo that would have a hard time being controlled at low boost levels with the smaller wastegate. If need be, when the swap is made to the hotrod, there is still room for a 44mm wastegate and that build will have a forward facing custom intake manifold on the other side that will free up space the the bigger wastegate.
