Re: jbrentd's 2nd Chance CQ - She's Alive!
I thought I recall that the 00513 code is one of that will pop up when the engine dies, but could be wrong. Any ideas on the 00523? Are there tests for the G42?

Re: WTB: B3 driver's side door handle/lock gear
Used to be available from Audi, looks like they still are. I had to buy one for my old 90, and for an old 200q20v. Replacement part is stamped metal instead of the crappy cast pot metal original design.

Leaking heater core or heater valve or something under the rain tray, running to drain under rain tray/heater box, and pooling on your frame rail?

Re: First time building a 5cyl
I'd think the only way the gear would line up perfectly would be at a 0° advance/retard setting. Start going away from stock, then the timing mark moves. I don't own one, though, so no direct experience.

Here's what's in my UrS6. 7A FW, B5 RS4 disc, LUK 02-026 PP. The unknown in that equation is what exactly the pressure plate is.

I've done what I think was later b4 90 manual climate control/heater box swap into a CQ in the past with a friend. Is that not an option? I don't remember how that affected wiring harnesses, but it makes vent actuation simple.

For what it's worth, the resistor is bolted to the frame rail just ahead of the radiator.

Huw Powell's site says there's no vacuum pump on the NF head.

Re: Help me identify this 20v head
Based on that I'm assuming JT, since the NF doesn't include the machined port for the vacuum pump rod. You're right about it not being an NG, injectors in the IM on the NG. It's been a long while since I tried to identify any 20v stuff.
Thanks!

Sounds like a loose impeller on the water pump. Pumps fine at low RPM, but slips on the shaft at higher RPM.

Help me identify this 20v head
Friend had this head rebuilt, ports welded and re-machined for a WX application, and we're trying to identify what it came from.
I'm thinking JT or NG, based on the machined hole for the cam-driven vacuum pump rod, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what it is beyond that.
Thoughts?

Drop the center support bearing and apply downward pressure on the on the driveshaft while bashing on the CV? It might be time for Mr. Torch to help out, too. Good luck!

Re: Kevin's V8 Quattro
When I did the clutch on my S6 last summer, no amount of hammering would get the driveshaft off the transmission. So, I disconnected it at the rear diff, too, and I was able to break it free there. I then pulled the transmission with the driveshaft attached and hammered the crap out of it on the ...

Re: WTB 200 20v fuel tank sender
For what it's worth, it looks like it's part number 443919049AA, which was used on all sorts of typ44s, so basically anyone parting a 5000, 100, 200, or V8 should be able to provide you with that part.
I might still have the fuel tank from the 200q20v I parted 12 years ago, but I'm almost positive ...

Yes, stock radio does that on 200q20v and UrS cars. At least the stock radio has done that on all the 200q20vs and UrS cars I've had that have had stock radios.

The hell?
What Kevin's autocheck is displaying below is that his radio is set to 93.1, the signal is in stereo, the radio is on the FM2 tuner, and it's the first preset on that tuner, all on the stock radio. Unfortunate that my original description is on the next page after the picture.

I went for ~6 years straight a few years ago and met up with Marc up there. I really liked grandstand 11 or 12 down by turns 1-3, although it's a LONG walk from the train to get to the seats (like possibly the longest distance grandstand from the train). However, it's a quick walk to the podium ...

Rebuilt 17z calipers are available for $150 each (after core charge) lots of places. Rockauto is one, search for 2005 Porsche Cayenne 3.2 calipers. You'll need to source your own crossover tubes and brake bleeder screw caps, but that's how I got mine for my S6.
