Now I just have to find a new rear heat shield, I butchered mine for other uses.

Going to have to hear the new system once you get it on.

Not around here!

Got around to a few things this weekend, here's what the center section of exhaust looks like. It's a Dynomax bullet, into a Borla XR-1, then it connects up with the other Borla XR1 rear section Javad sent me. I've found through all of this that using different types of strait through mufflers only moved the drone around. With this setup it's from 2000 to 3000 rpms, but after that it's sweet music. I like it so far. The big dyno max I had before was a little quieter, but it took some of the growl away and that's back now.

Nicely tucked in there, I need to put some kind of tips on there to get the exhaust further from the rear bumper, or just drop it another 1/2"

Then I installed the HID kit from that place that's been floating around AW

I was surprised at the quality of the kit, and how easy it was to install. All I had to do was drill two holes for the grommets.

They are much nicer to drive with :D

Possibly the last pic of my car in CO. :D :wtf: :(

Better pick up a few more trannys if you will be running the beast at sea level. It's gotta be good for a few more ponies, coming from Denver. :-D

Dunno quite yet, My wife's Job is in San Juan Capistrano and we'll be staying in San Clemente initially. I'll be starting another thread just for so cal related stuff in the near future :)

I went with the 4700 heat range because I wanted them to look as stock as possible, which is where I'm going with this car, hence the new rear exhaust. The engine bay is going to get a Derracuda like OEM makeover soon to make the go fast parts more unassuming.

Hell, I'll take the stifling legislation if it means I can live within 5 hours of 10-15 world class racetracks where I can drive at :D

I had to search to find my thread so an update is in order :) I'll try and get some pics tomorrow of things I've been tinkering with. Nothing major though, the biggest project was getting some of that nuclear reactor grade loctite Javad sells on my turbo nuts to keep them tight. Wait, I take that back, I went through yet another exhaust revision, and am finally 100% done with it. The car sounds absolutely perfect. Quiet on cruising, evil at WOT, and I still have 26-28 psi like I did with the open side dump. The secret was a 3" Morosso Spiral flow muffler, with a 2.25" bypass tube.

WTF you say? The Morosso is restrictive as hell so I put the 2.25" pipe around it to relieve the backpressure, but since the tube is so much smaller than the rest of the 3" system, it doesn't cause the drone of a full 3" system. I get a small resonation at 2500 rpms, but it's only there for a few hundred rpms, and truthfully, I think it's my Poly motor mounts more than anything.

Hmm, what else, I've redone the fuel lines and regulator to be less flashy.

The best mod so far this year by far is the summer tires! Now I know why I really love this car, one quick rip throught the neighborhood and I'm in love all over again.

I'm trying to decide if I have the time to get the car ready for the ACNA Miller event in June.

Things the car really needs before it hits the road track again:

-Larger radiator and good shrouding
-Relocate the oil cooler, add fans
-New front rotors, and better pads, looking at Pagid Blues.
-A better driver...
