could the front fender maybe be repositioned with stand standoffs or some slotting? maybe .5 wider in front and 2" wider in back where it would form an extractor?

i have always wanted to do that and that is why i bought my CQ with crappy paint so i could widebody it and not feel bad but the damn CQ lines have really grown on me and at my age i think that the mature decision is to restore the body and enjoy the sensibly modified car. I will just live my wide body dreams though you.
a special widebody CF hood would be a nice addition for folks wanting to widen their fenders in the manner that we are talking about.....'course a wide body removable front end is the next progression. :wink:
P.S. i am trying to live my "rear snub mount (tranny end)" idea through hank. he sounds like he needs it. no more freshly painted hood dents

Nope, I can do the entire track in 3rd and 4th, in fact other than stopping for gas, I could drive all the way with only 3-6
.
And second works again btw! It's not perfect, and actually works great with exact rev matches.
This was a lot of lol

Stock CC, I just had to make a new linkage and plug it back in
The pic is showing rpms and boost all over the place in the rain. Yes I am all excited because it's raining. It's the closest thing I get to snow. :(

Have you ever had issues with the CC causing the ECU to go nuts with accel enrichments? I tried to tune around it on this A4 I've been working on, I had the sensitivity down to like 15 or 20, and it would still basically flood the motor whenever the CC was on due to the choppy nature of the adjustments.

Perhaps try MAP based acceleration enrichment.

Hmm. 18x8.5 et30 RS6 wheel with 255 40 18 rubber. 275's would stick out another 30mm since I would need to add a 20mm spacer, or go with a 25mm et wheel an 15mm spacer. Totally doable

huh, thats cool how you did the cc. I was looking at a 4runner and it had a flexible cc cable apposed to a rod. I think I'm gonna do that when I get around to it.

I gave up looking for a box and used a trick that Mr Fernandes shared with me when my CAC exhaust showed up.
Just use bubble and shrink wrap, stickers stick to it nicely..
I always package exhaust downpipes etc. this way now.
Glad they made it there fine.

I took Hanks advise and ordered up a couple of fenders from Weldon, luckily I had yesterday off and was able to wait around for this to arrive, lol

I think they will work perfect, the red fenders are front ur-s, white are rear B4. If they still are not wide enough, I will have to copy the ocho's fenders in glass and stick them on.

Cool. I know I said this before somewhere, but street tire 275s will work on the Coupe with a perfect width/offset wheels.

This may give you some other ideas/inspiration:
http://corner-carvers.com/forums/showth ... 67--scroll down a ways for the fender flaring. They like to use Certifit E46 fenders to cut up. The fenders are super cheap and the style is pretty nice.

Interesting, that is definitely one option. I will be following the progress for sure.
