Wow, what a weekend!
I rushed to get the header brace all finished and am very happy with the way it turned out.

I left at 5:45AM for Fremont on Friday morning for Dyno round #2 at 034. I had to do some logging on the way up and found that I was at 100% duty cycle on my 75# injectors. It looks like the first item on the list is to sort out fueling issues on the dyno. After tossing on a few different gauges we verified the fuel pressure was not increasing with boost. I hooked up about 20 psi of compressed air to the reference line on the FPR at idle to see if it jumped up and it did. So we figured it must be the ghetto dual fuel pumps I have been running for the last 6-7 years. I was not fond of the thought of bathing in gasoline at the time, but Javad insisted
Time to swap in an 044 pump and new filter. I have been wanting to do this, and now have 100% -6 up to the FPR.

Nate decided to install a new seat in the EuroTuner Golf during my downtime. He prefers to have the wind in his hair.

Back to the dyno and found the pressure problem was still there. I did my test again with the compressed air and this time fuel sprayed out of the reference port. I think we found our problem. My original Aeromotive FPR finally failed on me. One new Fuel Lab FPR to the rescue and we were finally on our way. Nate went back to his bucket while I remapped everything in the ECU since I have been way over compensating for the bad regulator for quite some time. Having a dyno to work with really is priceless! Within probably 30 min I was ready to make a pull with the PTE5857.
I pulled Nate away from his bucket and we ripped this one on the first pull.
472 WHP, 402 ft-lbs, at 27-28 PSI on 91 pump gas. :woowoo:

I knew this turbo was fast, and this really proves it. I will add to my turbo comparison thread once Nate gets me some more plots and we can discuss more in depth over there, but I am very happy with this. Spool is not quite as low as the 30R, but very close and better power than a 35R at this boost level. There, I said it. 8)
So thanks again Javad for having such a great shop with all kinds of crack in stock, and Nate for always being willing to help even if it is midnight on a Friday.
This was just the start of the weekend, I still had to drive to Monterey for the MotoGP Race

That was a cool experience, the Grand Prix bikes are simply on another level, and this was a real treat to see my favorite race series in person.
Finally I wrapped up the drive home on the 101 with my buddy and his 470 HP M3. This car was pretty dam fast, we did a pull from about 65, I was in third the whole time, he started in third at 6k, then shifted into 4th. He got a slight jump on me as expected, but then I put a car length on him pretty quickly as soon as he shifted to 4th. That car sounds so evil though, with the dual clutch transmission blipping the throttle as you come to a stop.
