True, you have to prioritize. :-)

You are switching to 5x112 all round, right?
With the power you are generating now, you need a brake upgrade.

The big brake kits at 034 look real tempting, don't they?

What brake set up are you running now? G60s?

Good work Jimmy! so how is that clutch special? I only notice the PP being much different.

My clutch slave rubber line look scary old too, I've been meaning to replace it for quite some time..maybe I'll do that this month.

-Billet PP, smaller diameter and very light
-Very high quality disk, I cannot explain it, it is like comparing a 20v head to a 20v head. The disk is also smaller diameter for quicker revs
-LW Steel FW, will not melt under load, and has the trigger built in.

I need to call Porterfield and see if they have adapters in stock. They are my new favorite local race shop.

Porterfield didn't have exactly what I needed, so I just happened to have a meeting down the street from http://www.anplumbing.com  every Earls fitting made, in stock, and then some.

So here is what I came up with for the Master to Slave clutch line.

Here is the problem with the adapters I bought, they were not deep enough and the threads were bottoming out.

The plan quickly moved to using a crush washer to seal.

S2 axles with new CV boots

Went back to the old Setrab oil cooler. After comparing to the monster Mercedes cooler I had been running, this one has more surface area and rows. I also relocated it from in front of the radiator to a much better location

Image

Today's project: Tweak the exhaust in order to clear the axles. I built everything around the 016 which has the output shafts about 1.5" further back from the 01E and 01A

Man, I need to clean the underside of this car some day!

Do I read 9919BFEERL on the package for the fitting? One of those and the chrome-looking crushy thing at each end and hose in the middle. Anything else? I need to make almost the same hose for mine.

I ordered 95% of my AN stuff from anplumbing.com. I would love to see their actual store!

It is a great place to have somewhat local, that's for sure.

9919BFEERL is correct, but if I were to do it again, I would take the factory line out and have AN fittings brazed on the end. Also check out speeding-g60's thread, he found some -3 steel adapters that might work better.

To do it my way you need

2 - 9919BFEERL
2 - 12mmish crush washers
2 - -4 Speed Seal Hose ends
2 ft of -4 teflon speed seal hose

So I have the downpipe tacked into it's new location, now I just need to mate it to the exhaust. Done for today, plus I need some new exhaust hangers to work with.

FINALLY had the car out today. First drive was 100 yards down the street. Car moved, no strange noises so pull a U turn and 25 miles up to Long Beach. I took it easy as I could feel the clutch bedding and the engagement changing each shift. Once it was consistent, back in the hood, and with some fresh gas in the tank, it was time to have some fun.

Boy was it fun, I freaken love having torsen again, the car has sooooo much more grip than before. I tried a couple of pretty hard launches in first and just ripped through first and second with very little drama, and 1.9 bar / 28 psi of boost on the logger.

I forgot how fast this car was. Nothing like going 70 in second gear between lights... :-)

Are you not always in the OC?

I may make it down to North OC on one evening, workload is totally unknown at this time so impossible to schedule at present.

I'll be in Agoura Hills BTW, that is I will not be down in Santa Ana.
