I was going to guess cosmetic surgery, his car barely has anything else to upgrade.

The car enhancements are the male enhancements.

Exactly, we lost in Denver when finally sold, but won much more for our money out here.

Here is the new house :-D

We lost about 15k on our condo in denver, but saved 200k on the cali house. I know what you are thinking, houses are still a ripoff out here, you may be right, I like it though 8)

You truly must be an optimist.:P

Your outlook on saving 200K is totally Dependant that the prices do not continue to drop. The market has been artificially inflated for years, most recently as a result of low interest rates and silly lending habits. The adjustment is probably not complete since the mean California house is still outside the mean income for the prospective inhabitant.

I am sure though that in the long run, you will do well on your investment.

Nice looking house BTW!

Agreed, there are a lot of people in denial here still. It seems to have leveled off at least around here the last few months, all you can do is time it the best you can and move forward.

So the ECU is home with it's creator for a little family time.

In the mean time I finally located what has been causing cyl 4 and 5 to run super rich the last couple of weeks.

It was not an injector, a fuel pressure problem, or a spark related issue, one of the strangest failures I have seen to date. Any guesses?

It turned out to be the crappy "factory looking" fuel pressure regulator I was running. I blew the piss out of the diaphragm and it was squirting fuel into my vacuum hoses. The vacuum hoses tap the manifold at the rear just behind #5 causing fuel to be dumped into 4 and 5. Seriously, WTF?

The Aeromotive FPR just got a coat of black wrinkle paint, cranked to 60 psi and ready for 30 lbs of boost again. Ohh yea.

So I need to get some of these projects done, who wants to come help?
01E swap
radiator
oil cooler
dry cleaning
5 lug swap
wheels
brakes
dry cleaning

Looks like I might have an 034 stimulus package in the making.

Dang I was wondering when this thread would get an update.

Looking forward to seeing how these future mods pan out :)

Is that OE Bosch FPR mod, where you use the mainfold vacuum to 'aid' the FPR is delivering the correct fuel pressure? I thought it was not a vacuum port but a fuel dump for the valve if it were to fail to relieve the excess fuel pressure.

The nipple on an EFI regulator provides a manifold pressure reference for the regulator...idea being that you keep pressure across the injector constant; IE, fuel pressure is always 45psi (14.7psi + 45psi = 60psi absolute) greater than manifold pressure. In "10psi" vacuum, FP = 50psi absolute. With 30psi boost, FP = 90psi absolute.

This happened on my buddies C4 Vette. It dumped all the fuel into the #7 cylinder once it was keyed off. Nearly hydrolocked the engine. This is a much bigger problem with adjustable regulators than OE parts. The diaphragms are a lot less durable.
