Jim,
What is the code on that tranny. It has 4 mounting holes in the tail housing (2 on each side), a lof of these 01Es do not have them, I am just curious what cars this version came on.
Looks like they might be good enough to use as mouting points a'la rally cars i.e. mount direct to the body and forgo the subframe mounts.
Thanks in advance

No, holes in the tail section on both sides (2 per side). The two on the pass side are close to the oil return boss on cars that have oil cooler pumps.
The pass side onces are more apart and you can see them in Jim's last pic.
Looks like they might be used for exhaust hangers on some cars.
Cheers

Made some progress this weekend. There were a few little fabrication issues that needed to be addressed
Made a bracket for the flywheel VR sensor

Mounted up the new FW and Billet Clutch from 034, sexay

I bleed the clutch tonight and it feels a little too light, so I need to double check everything, It seems like it is kind of releasing, but I need to fire it up and see if it fully disengages. Due to the coolness of the clutch, I can slip a screwdriver between the plates and feel it releasing the pressure.
And then, finally, a real radiator :-) I went with the 034 full mounts version, less drama is good at this point.

Getting close!

I was kind of hoping you could get some better quality vids of your setup and you tearing up the roads.
I am still digging your ride. Sounds great.

Also I dont have a working speedo, so tearing around fast makes me a bit nervous. I knew it was bad when I tapped the rev limiter in 4th during a freeway pull. Thats gotta be up there in speed :tard:[/quote]
Yeah, I did see that in the vid. I'd say extra legal speed is very ..uuhm.. easily reached.
Careful dude.
In NL, if you get caught doing 50kmh over the limit, they take your license.
Fine is set by the Justice dept. You have to go to court and if you are a repeat, you get to go take a re-eductaion course which costs 700+euros. You get your license revoked for a few months. If they catch you driving without, its a felony.
100% over, you lose the car/bike, too.
Driving 200kms to Germany is cheaper and more fun
And they have 100-102 octane fuel! At the pump!

Yeah, yeah, I know I have been doing a poor job of posting vids. I posted a few vids, almost everything I have is from the 20vt days.

I will keep searching, if anyone else knows of any, send them my way.

I started up the car tonight, it might have been the quickest it has ever started. Nice, so far the 60-2 trigger on the flywheel is working great. Not bad after sitting for almost 4 months. The timing is a little off, but only 1 tooth or about 6 degrees from the baseline before. I just need to find my timing light now.
The transmission went through all of the gears, the clutch seems to work great. I think my light pedal is due to a leaky clutch line. Looks like the stock line is finally about to give up after being molested for 20 years and 230,000 miles.

Well, that's the name of the game if you are going to build up people's expectation over, what, 4 years. Teasing them with porno engine bay shots and have a kickass parts list.
The AUDI(ence) wants to hear and see your awesome ride.
Not only that, I think YouTube as a medium is one of the most amazing things of the hightech-age. Publish yourself and find others too.
Tell me, did you not read Hotrod magazine as a kid? I did, but there is no movement or sound in a magazine. I missed that.
Thanks for making a channel, Jim, and have fun.
May I recommend you buy an HD camera w/ stereo? You will love watching your own action.
