It's just a matter of playing with the lambda at 1v and lambda at 0v settings. Make the car run rich, and adjust the 0v field, make it run lean and adjust the 1v field. keep doing that until the zeitronix and 034 ecu read the same. Mine is spot on at stoich, and within a few tenths at the far end of rich nd lean.

Nothing to see here sir. So the good new is I just got back from the smug station. I failed the test because of to much HC, but passed the visual :woowoo: I forgot they don't test for Nox in CA, so I'll be going back to the same station with a lean running car. How did I pass visual you say? Here's some of the latest work.

I like the crack on the far right "manifold" cover. Obviously not important but that caught my attention. Certainly pulls off the oem look for sure. Well done!

peace on it

That's some seriously good camouflage work there! I can't believe you're going to pass California smog with that car. Very well done! The engine compartment actually has a nice clean look to it.

Careful now, they DO test for NOX in California.

Retard your timing, lean it up THEN it should pass.

That looks great. How did you pass the visual for a cat? Surely they looked didn't they?

Question: Are you leaving all of that in the engine bay all the time?

Good to know, I guess they only printed out the things that failed, I was to high on CO in the 2500rpm test which just says I'm running to rich even at 14.7:1. I'll retard the timing 10 degrees and try 15.5:1

Seriously, I've taken the car from wow factor to blah factor. Still moves the same though :-D

Nice job Jim! It's hard to believe that's the same engine bay.

As of a few years ago, they only tested CO and HC on AWD cars. The 2wd cars get a NOx test on the dyno. Failed on HC once in the QSW, leaned the sucker out so much it would hardly run and passed with 0.000 on everything :-D
