Carl, I kinda owe you a ride as your cyl head is in the car! Unfortunately, it's just crazy right now. I'll try and find a moment.

Small update, I moved the WB display to somewhere a little more stealthy. Remember this is all in the name of not giving the policia a reason to pop my hood when I get pulled over.

Relocated the knock light and water injection LED into the cluster below the VDO lettering.

Hmm, where could it be?

There it is

Visability really sucks, but I hardly use it anyways, and when I do it's mainly for peak and hold. I'm going to make it so I can pop it out of there an stick it somewhere else for tuning, or tilt it towards me a little so I can see it better.

What else, yea, filled up the tank with 91 since E85 isn't available in socal. Feck the car's slow now. Bring on sea level!

That's got to be the fastest car ever driven in thong sandals.

i'm likin the subtility----(don't know if its a word or not)
subtlism, subtleness -----that one sounds a bit like i'm talking about a nice pair of boobies...
your car and boobies, good comparison,
a bangin set under a cute jacket,
unzip that jacket and blam, the goodies jump out at ya :bashtard:

Exactly, even if Cali smog and street racing laws were not a concern, I really like the way the car's turning out.

That would be a sad, sad day.

And I have no idea how you drive with Sandals.

The sea level mod rocks! It feels like I've stepped down a few turbo sizes in spool time and I can drive one gear higher than normal. I've run a few quick logs as a quick check, but so far the tune seems pretty good. I haven't driven the car much as I've really been enjoying the A6, and I've become a bit of a beach bum the last two weeks. In fact, I'm posting from the beach now. The goal for this weekend is to get some nice pics of both cars together.

Javad lives in CA, therefore I'd bet he has quite a few pairs of sandals and has driven 80TQ once or twice wearing them. :-)

So much for doing more tuning today, my laptop just died, look like it's time to pull out the backup. I did manage to get a pretty nice pic of both cars though.

Jim,
Since you are in Socal now, you should try to make this GTG. It is the largest one in CA.

A lot of nice cars, very few old school, but there is one UrQ that is usually there which is converted to RHD.

I don't know why, but the first thing I thought of when I saw your two cars in that picture was "Miami Vice". I may have sniffed too much C16 in a previous life.

Heh. I can barely stand to be barefoot. My feet have at least socks unless I am in the shower. You hippies and your "let your toes hang out" attitude... :wink:

Nice pic, Jim. Enjoying California?

Got the Zeitronix back from, Zeitronix with the upgraded linear WB output today. Hooked it up using the resistors below to drop the voltage from 0-5v to 0-1v.
WB_OUT+>----[XXXXX]-------[YYYYY]------<WB_OUT-(TO ECU_GND too)

Output is taken from the node where resistor XXXXX and resistor YYYYY meet.

XXXXX = 4.02K 1%, 1/4w
YYYYY = 1.00k 1%, 1/4w

Divides 5.00v to just over 1.00v

After tinkering with the scaling I have it spot on and the car has never run smoother. Javad and crew were right, the damn thing almost runs itself in closed loop.

I've also made some good progress with project OEM, maybe some pics tomorrow. :-D
