AAN/3B ECU with GM 3 bar map sensor

anyone here ever see or attempt to use a GM 3 BAR MAP sensor in place of the factory bosch unit? just curious before i attempt this one if its going to be worth my time. i know i'll have to mount it externally which isnt a problem. seems like a far cheaper alternative than buying an OEM bosch 3 BAR map or the 034 MAP sensor.
