The Project Pad

Some sloppy wire routing/lack of strain relief appears to have finally killed my trusty 034 boost control solenoid after seven years of reliable use. The wires appear to be internally broken where they enter the body of the solenoid, no saving it after a couple of different attempts.

Anywho, what's everyone using for boost control? Here is a link to the generic Grainger/IR valve sold many places. There is also a MAC valve (http://www.extremepsi.com/store/product ... ctid=24381) that appears reliable/common as well, and is a good deal there at $45 including fittings. Note both of those generic valves would require a male Bosch connector to be installed.

thats all i use...... the IR not the MAC.

simple valve. its the frequency duty cycle that makes a decent impact on it from my reading.

I don't know anything about them, but I need to pick one up soon so I'm watching/reading along.

Slept on it. Decided that trying to track down my own male pins or my fancy BMW butt splices, and making a new bracket was not worth $15. New valve ordered from 034, should be here in two days.

$51 valve + $8 shipping from Grainger + $6 connector kit + $5 shipping from you = $70, or a <$10 savings to my desk after they gave me a deal for wearing the first one out. I shot the shit with Jeremy and it'll be here in two days. Made a lot of sense to me.
