im looking to replace things on my 94 s4 before winter, im looking to replace this switch on the Dvr side of the block. i do have a oil leak now but im not 100% sure where its from. ive tightened all oil pan bolts to 10nm. the leak is coming from above the oil pan on the dvr side. im thinking its either this switch or the PCV system.
Can i change this switch with oil in the block? or will it piss out as soon as i pull it out?
Thanks guys,
Kenny

yes you wont lose oil as long as the motor is not running... if it's running it will spray the entire oil volume out of there in a matter of seconds

It'll drop a minor amount out - just the volume between the check valve (if it's still there) and the head

Picked one up today, as well as diff fluid and new diff plugs. I'll be doing that on Sunday and maybe tranny mounts.
