Project DRTHWGN

I was told this is the new old skool Audi hang out. So being as I am an old skool audi nuter I'm here.
My current project is to restore/improve my 91 200 20vt Avant! I bought the car as a shell thinking i was going to drop a V8 in it, which I love. Well that changed the day I got my hands on a Eurovan short block! I've kinda had a hard-on for a Stroker wagon since I saw one in OH a few years ago. Just something about the Audi I5 sound in something that makes torque like a Big block Chevy makes me giggle.
So that car will be built in stages. I need it for winter, but there isn't enough time/money to do a properly built 2.6L tall deck 20vt before winter. Luckily I have a wrecked 200 20vt sedan in the stable to donate an engine for a while, before it finds it's home in my fathers CQ. So I'll drop that in with a new timing belt and some new seals to keep all the oil leaks to a minimum. It's a little on the tired side, but still makes good power so I'll just do a pull and swap, it's only got ~275k on it.
The biggest thing I'm doing right now is getting the chassis setup. I was getting ready to build a V8Q 6-speed with a ton of suspension upgrades, before the wiring harness in the frame rail went poof! So I have a pile of really nice upgrade parts in the garage. 2B camber plates, DIY coil over kit, 92 S4 rear subframe and Hap bar, V8 Euro 6-speed mounts, Axles for a t44 6-speed, and a brand spanky new 28mm front V8Q bar. I lucked out when I bought this wagon as the PO was a real Audi nut and didn't even cut the harness out of it to build his Ersatz S2. It also came with Koni adjustables all the way around with ~5k miles on them so that will work nicely with the DIY (ground control) coil overs.
The last area this thing really needs to have addressed is the brakes. It's a UFO car and thus the best option is to hop right into a Hp2 variant brakes system. Since I know where I'm going for power I know stock Hp2's are not going to be adequate for it's braking needs. I'll be going with my favorite BBK the T-reg 6-pots. I have them on my MK5 rabbit Daily and they are silly amounts of brake for the money and are almost a bolt on to the UFO housing. I'm still debating the rear setup, but I'm really leaning toward setting it up with the T-reg 4-pot rears and going with a Viper e-brake caliper. I'll be playing with ideas there as the stock rear calipers are done so I need something and a 330mm rear would be fun!
The Goal is to have the wagon sitting right and up and running for a show in Oct so I got some work to do. luckily it's mostly labor intensive stuff to swap out the suspension bits, get the coil overs setup and the car back down then throw in a 01E 6-speed and complete Urs4 shifter setup and a clutch masters 850 setup and get everything dialed in. Get the Chassis all dialed in and learn how it behaves under modest power. Mean while build a full high power 2.6L 20vt to slap my little Hx52 on.
I'll get some pictures shortly for all you.
