So the independent appraiser finally came out and saw my car, and it was good to have someone else look over it with me and discuss the damage. From my research, using the average price of used parts, I came up with about $3500 in parts, including a professionally installed windshield and $350 for misc stuff/pieces/hardware. Figure in another $2500 for paint, and I'm happy. (And I know I can do much, much better than $3500 for the parts, I was just going off car-part.com retail pricing) But now I wait on what the adjuster has to offer.
In the meantime, I swapped on a Beetle steelie, bandaged the torn intercooler hose with a Smart Water bottle and some zip ties and drove her into my shop...

Honestly, I think the hardest part of the repair would be getting the door off and replacing the rocker panel. Otherwise, most everything else is a bolt-on affair.
Of course while perusing fleabay I came across something I never in a million years would've thought I'd like - a body kit!
But its actually kind of awesome:

Its way more than budgeted for in my estimate, but I can make it work. What do you think?
