Removing hydroboost on a 1991 CQ

Ok, so I have the 3 nuts off on the inside as well as the pin attaching it to the brake peddle. I pull on it, and all it does is spring in and out. What am I missing? After I get this swapped out, I'm ready to put the engine back in!
