Statefarm sucks honestly. I have them as well and they seem to be an absolute pain in the ass, the big difference is they are half the price of hagerty.
When I went to Statefarm I said I would like a $20,000 policy for the URQ and my agent said it shouldnt be a problem considering the work done to my car and the documentation I have so I signed the paperwork. A day later I got an email stating that they issued a $14,500 valuation for my car. I then put together a lot of resources of sales and how my car compares to the sales I supplied. These sales were a 20vt from Bringatrailer that sold for $14,750(and then went on to immediately resell on ebay for over $20,000) along with a bunch of ebay sales that were between 18k and 20k all of the cars were 20vt and needed moderate to extreme work(one car had frozen calipers and looked like it hadnt run in years). They then came back and said my car was in fact worth less than the Bringatrailer car and unless I get an appraisal on the car to "prove" it is worth what I am asking it will stay at the current value.
I am still with Statefarm and I will be getting an appraisal but it is quite comical how I am going to get an appraisal from someone that probably has never heard of or seen a URQ and they will take that over the actual sales that have occured in the last 2 years. I cant say I am too pleased with my experience with Statefarm but the price difference between Hagerty and Statefarm is enough for me to at least try and get an appraisal.
$14,750 URQ(resold on ebay for $20,100

My supposed $14,500 URQ

Have you tried Grundy? They were over half the price of Hagerty on my CGT.

I have an agreed value policy through safeco for my red car. Looked into haggerty and a few others, but this ended up being the best deal since I have all my other insurance through them.
