Hey guys,
I've been wandering for awhile for some research about the 2.5L AEL block and it's application on differents heads 20v/20V (and modifications required, etc).
Been through a few posts but I assume there's some kind of "compendium" around, nah ?
Many thanks,
Thibaud

There is a fair amount of knowledge/experience on S2forum with this, as the AEL/AAT weren't available here.

I've done so, however my build used a 92.8mm crank in an AAT block and AAN head. Some of the mods required were welding an oil passage shut, boring the cylinders to match pistons, drilling a hole for the dipstick, custom head gasket, balancing the crank (well, entire rotating assembly at that point), making a spacer to fit the timing belt tensioner, etc.
If you can get a good condition AEL block, I'd jump on it. Then, do the research and accumulate good parts from there.

Look into an 07k if you're looking to make power on a 2.5
If you're set on the other idea just ignore me

Thanks ! That's exactly what I was looking for !
(@Magellan aswell) Well AEL (and AAT) are quite "common" around here, so that's not about "searching for the Grail". It's just that I may get one (can't tell about its condition though) for nothing more than a nice bottle of whisky so ... That's just about considering if it's worth having one collecting dust in my hangar or not. Got nothing but a "blurry" idea ... yet
