B4 90Q AFC V6 Idling issue

Could use some help here determining an idling issue...

Car details:
Early Build, 1995, Audi 90q, AFC motor - all stock.

Symptons:
Car is idling fine... drives fine... pulls strong, but then if you let it idle for an extended period 5-10 minutes, it will just die - quickly.
No CEL, (It does light up when starting the car -as it should - so I know it works)

Haven't checked to see if there codes anyway... I suppose I could do that...

What's new:
Spark Plugs
Wires
Ignition Pack
Crank Sensor

Seems to me it must be something ignition related to fail so sharply? Thoughts?

I should also note that the car starts right back up with no issue.

My current thinking is that it could be a faulty Fuel Pump relay. Thoughts?

Had this happen also on same Motor (1996 AFC) after cam sensor work. I cleared ecu without looking at codes and all is well.
Car no longer dies. It was like someone just turned the ignition key to off.

Hmm... what do you mean by "clear the ECU"?? like cleared the OBDI warning codes?

Yes clear all the codes. Mine is OBD 2 system. I cleared all codes on all the systems, went for a drive to set rediness codes and car
idles now until I turn it off. I am no expert but it seems to me that the ecu was locking for the value of the old cam senor and got confused going from closed loop to open loop as values where different with the new cam sensor.
Hope this helps.
