I have the bushing frozen overnight and lubed up. I am afraid to press any further. Any tips?

I used a sleeve the same diameter as the hole in the end of the swaybar. Lubed it up real good & drove it home using a press as you have pictured

Where'd you get the sleeve?

The sleeve came from the inner components of a BMW 2002 front strut! Back in THE day I used to drive on the center support bearing for the driveshaft of various vehicles with two piece driveshafts. One of the older techs told me that if I ever replaced the front strut of a 2002 to be certain to save the pieces. I cut a short section of it to fit my needs.
I misspoke when I said that it is the same size as the inner swaybar end. The ID of the sleeve is about the OD of the bushing. I used it to hold the bushing in place to prevent it squishing out. Then while holding the sleeve in place I used a bearing race driver handle of the proper diameter to push the bushing home. ID of sleeve is about 32mm.

Sleeve FTW!

I got one of them in. The sleeve is from my harbor freight floor jack. It's now about an inch shorter. it's a little smaller than the bushing so I had to first press the bushing into that, then into the sway bar.
thanks again!
Oh, am I supposed to reuse the metal tube that was in the rubber bushing?

Yes, it is the stop for the sway bar link to butt up against.
