I'm looking for better front seats, sport or urs...heat power memory, if anyone has anything kicking around let me know. Needs valve cover gaskets bad, doing that and rear wheel bearing this week. Radio is stuck in safe mode, but I can't enter the code, it's a Bose I've tried holding fm1 and am and it's not responding. Any ideas on that?

This morning I swapped the drivers rear hub and lower control arm, for one with a good bearing, and much better bushings...Also a friend of mine is giving me a pair of sport seats, they are tan, I'm going to dye them black.

Got the radio to accept the code now I have to figure out why there's no reception.

I'd assume that someone had pulled the radio previously and the antenna didn't get plugged back in or it fell out as they were pushing it back in because they didn't seat it right.
I like the ride! I love the V8's... when I was looking for my car I also kept an eye out for V8's. Good luck...

Which there are two sets pictured, 5 spoke Allroad 17's and old 15" milli's.
And the paint is pretty haggard, over all it's in good shape.

It has a few issues, I've addressed the radio, I'm going to pull codes this afternoon, have to address the Pcv system, look into cruise control...the tach is lazy it kind of sticks around 1800rpm, then if you really floor it it will jump up and work...any ideas on that? Also it idles around 400rpm, not missing or anything just very low.

Tried pulling codes, vag com saw a connection but said k1/k2 short to ground. Guess I'll be chasing some wire...

Just did valve cover gaskets, still smoking, I think it might be the rack...not too pleased at the prospect of changing the rack.

Flushed the coolant, doing it again tomorrow, coolant looked like a mud puddle.
Also need to swap the pass front axle. It feels like it has locked diffs, anyone know what that's about?

Swapped a good cv on pass axle, flushed coolant again, it's still brown lighter shade tho...bought lowering springs and rear bilsteins, and some cheap front inserts for the time being. Also have a power steering pump on the way...
I'm looking for a trans dip stick, or wondering if some one can measure theirs.

Flushed the coolant a couple more times still brown, 5 times total now, I'll get all this nasty shit out eventually. Washed her and hand waxed, paint is so bad on this car.

Swapped power steering pump today. Hoping that stops that leak. Managed to break the nipple for the coolant return off the radiator...fixed it with a brass fitting and jb weld hope it holds.

Re packed and rebooted fr dr outer cv, flushed the coolant system a few more times then added coolant. I'm really starting to like this car. Replaced o2 yesterday seems to have made a big diffrence. My oil pressure gauge is pegged at 5 bar always even with car off, anyone know if that may be sensor or gauge?

If it's similar to the i5, maybe the two wires are reversed on the oil pressure sensor.

My new used power steering pump is leaking after a week :( I have a seal kit ordered, not looking forward to doing that swap again. Started putting new suspention in last night, going out to finish that up in a few minutes.

1.5 drop springs front and rear, new Gabriel inserts front, used bilstein sports in the rear. Very nice improvement.

I replaced the j hose (pump to bomb) so nice to have brakes and a car that doesn't smoke.
Hopefully she'll behave and let me get back to work on the 4k.

I need to do a tierod end, align it and swap a rear trailing arm in that has good bushings. And possibly delete the cats and rear muffler if I feel ambitious. Everything else is on hold till 4kqtdi is done.

I think I sold you that right? It was a used unit I was going to use on my leaky pump. I apologize that it's leaking. I never used it and was assuming it was good from the dude I bought it from.
PM me if there's anything else from that part thread you want - the bomb maybe?

Wasn't the pump, it was the j-hose, thanks for the offer!

Looking for the rubber head light/ marker light trim, if anyone has a pair let me know. Thanks for the advise on oil pressure, I'll try swapping the leads on the sender.
