7a flywheel pin replacement location HELP!!!

ok background, we have a fidanza LWFW with a broken 7a style timing pin. as VEMS seems to play nicer with the large urS timing pin vs the small 7a pin, we went ahead and machined a new urS style pin. now we just have to locate it on the flywheel.

I know vems has the control to move the pin location. so do I want to move the pin ~2 teeth in WHICH DIRECTION?
I certainly don't want to repull a trans to get it right ahahah

thanks!!!!

Why not just remove the broken pin, and use the original hole? Not hard to do, I have removed a few of them.

yeah but we can just put it back in two teeth off and set the tooth offset in vems, DONE

just want to know which direction is better to go, clock or counterclockwise

gotcha, for me I would just rather try to keep in in the original spot. proceed.

yeah it would be quite important for oem eng mgt

but as we can manipulate via vems where the pin is we can put it wherever. although it needs to be in a certain "window" as far as I know so just not quite sure what direction is safer to go

The window is huge, look primary trigger settings (visual) in base setup. You can also manipulate it with a certain setting that I forget the name of. But you have like 60-90° I think, just open VEMS up and you'll see.

Oh, that setting is called "distance between zero tooth and the trigger"

So if you're outside the 60-127° window (correction to upper post) you can move that slider and get it in the window.

So you can kind of put it anywhere

Okay not anywhere but anywhere close to the original will be fine.

Counter clockwise on the flywheel would be preferred. Clockwise on a front trigger wheel.

Unless I'm wrong. LOL
