1983 4000 4E

For sale is a 1983 Audi 4000 4E (front wheel drive) with the 1.7L 4 cylinder motor and 5 speed transmission. Clutch engages effortlessly, and goes into all 5 gears plus reverse with zero drama. Tires have tread, and there's plenty of brake pads left as well. I also just installed a brand new battery.
It has its bumps and bruises for being a 31 year old car, but it's all there. There are a couple areas with surface rust, but nothing terrible. Paint will come back with some polish, but again this isn't a show car... it's a driver. Interior is in good shape (with exception of brown driver's seat which doesn't match the remainder of the blue interior), though dashboard shows the typical cracking from sitting outside. All gauges and lights function as expected, though odometer does not move currently (broken gear - common for these cars). There is no radio in the car. Also, windshield is cracked, but a used windshield can be provided with the car for installation by new owner.
These cars were well known for their amazing gas mileage. This one runs well, revs freely and all around is a great little car. Have too many in the fleet and need to let this one go, unfortunately.
