this is on the other thread, just for the color, but it belongs here too.

masked off and ready to go.

now for some base coats. we went 5 pass on roof, and 4 pass on rest of whole car. ran out of base so the front bumper did not get painted. oh well. sooooon it will be though.

and the skirts and 1/4 panel body trim. this is post clear, fresh wet.

Image

Image

and the rear bumper. i made the choice of the rear bumper due to the fact that it would take less paint and we could do the whole thing.

Image

Image

and fresh un-taped, rolled it out to the sunlight. i think it looks freaking awesome. Don (Repoman) did one hell of a job. he retired from painting cars 7 years ago, and did not have any plans to do any more paint work.... but he realized i got into a pickle, and being the good guy that he is, he came down and spent the day hooking this up. and it looks awesome. even though i got the wrong type of clear, which only let him put down two coats, it still looks great. and my poor compressor. that last coat of clear, it was a struggling!!!!

this way, even if i dont get it running, which i will, i will still take it to the show and at least have everyone drool on it LOL.

:woowoo: Nothing quite like that smell of fresh paint in the air. Looks good, but probably needs a few runs in the 9's to really cure it. :-D :-D

i know.... mine is still out in the garage somewhere watching it to make sure it is really done :)

but it looks really good. i am kinda glad shitsack bailed on me. allowed me to go pick my own color, and this job is better than he would have done.

one detractor, now i have to be ultra careful, as it is painted. but, take it when you can, or you may miss out on it. took it. its cool, i got lots of blue tape :) LOL.

i like how its dark inside and bright ass outside. its definitely a cool color.

the factory car it came on; not so cool. 1999 Chevy Prizm. hahaha

you throwing the black side moldings back on or you just going with the way it is now?

by speeding-g60
what black side moldings?

under the door? if thats what you mean, no because i have Reiger skirts. i cant put the pass side skirt on til the motor is in, as i have to take off the fender to mount the exhaust. i dont want to be dicking around and chance scratches unless i absolutely have to.
