Got my block back from machine shop # 2. They were able to remove most of the imperfection/scratch/gash in cylinder 5. Its alot better now. Piston #3 will become a spare, #5 will move to cyl 3 and a new OEM piston with a .003 thick microslick coating will become #5 to get the correct piston to wall clearance.

Got the wastegate cap back today, and the oil pump so i get that rebuilt. Really loving the powdercoating thing. The quality from my local shop is out standing.
Should have the crank and rotating assembly in tomorrow.

Well, crank is in its home now. Calico coated bearings, OEM main bolts ( i have ARP but a line hone was $$$) OEM thrust washers.
Everything is well within Spec. 0.051 and 0.038 on the mains. Thrust clearance 0.023-0.025.
Tomorrow i pick up the 5th overcoated piston and can start getting the reeast of the assembly together. Need to start clearing space on my bench.

Got the head build today. Bolted the exhaust manifold on as well. Cams go in tomorrow, waiting on a new chain.
Head was Vapor Honed at Strongarm cylinder heads in Panoka Alberta. Guy does amazing work. He made the head look OEM new again.
I assembled the head at home
Ferrea 6000 series valves ( intake and exhaust)
New INA 64g lifters. ( not the LW ones)
Stock springs
Stock retainers
Wagner manifold
034 hardware kit ( no turbo studs...come on 034!)

Thanks guys, progress has slowed down a bit for sure. COVID has made some things really hard to get done. Need to send my fluidamper to Jeff to have it machined a bit. Currently working on getting the accessories bolted up and hope to have the engine dropped in the car soon.
Got the 034 intake spacer mounted ( had to fine some of the powder coating off the intake manifold)

Well, another project come to an end. The Coupe sold today to a good friend locally. He took the Coupe, all the Euro parts, custom harness, S2 suspension and intercooler. All the 3B intake parts and so on. AAN and 7A blocks as well.
For me this project became to much and i had to move on. Im glad it will go on to live in another enthusiast's stable. He owns a Silver coupe that hes doing an AAN swap and that car will get all the good AAN parts. This coupe will return at some point to a solid 7a car.
I will be keeping the engine i built and be putting that in my Urs4 thos summer instead.
The end of this project, but the Urs project will continue.
