Very true about sealing it up. I got the flywheel balanced.

Also, one word of advice. They are modified 034 flywheels which means they have the shitty ass starter ring. Replace it with a factory 7a or similar.

Ah... that would explain why it came in an 034 box!

What's the problem with the ring gears? I was pretty surprised to see it had holes drilled (and tapped) through it... is that the issue? It looked to me like those holes would reduce the gear's strength quite a bit as they take up so much of its cross-sectional area.

The holes are the problem. The gears fracture and blow up into 4 different pieces. Plus the teeth like to sheer off

Which flywheel does he start with? the 7a or one for a transverse 07k?

Yeah, that's it. It's cheaper to buy it from Hank modified and ready to go.

Thanks.

Im about to put in an order to hank, and I am wondering if you are happy you went with the top exit intercooler?

I notice that the intake he made you is not the regular one he sells online

I really like the vertical flow, it's been rock solid. Hank made a vertical flow work with one of his standard intake manifolds on his car. The end tanks are a bit more custom, but it came out great. He also had to offset the radiator with a small frame rail notch. It works well and allows you to also use the stock accessories.
