I'm already looking for a 5spd 1.8t fwd passat parts car... TDI would be awesome but too much money

97-99 passat or 98-99 A4 will get you the right engine (AEB)

I found a ton of info here when I was researching it: http://myweb.whitman.syr.edu/srotblat/swap/

Well new fuel pump didn't fix the problem, time to dig deeper!

Yeah, going to triple check for vacuum leaks. Going to figure out what injectors it has too (fine or coarse thread), and probably order up a new set. Then I guess I need to check the setup of the fuel distro/metering plate.

Have you tried that extra set of injectors I pulled from the wrecking yard? They were in a plastic bag in the trunk

Got a Bentley this morning, going to dig into troubleshooting more tonight.

In other news, I'm picking up a complete 7A swap from Chris (varia). Not as potent as the 1.8T swap, but much easier and a better soundtrack. Then there's always the possibility of a 7At in the future if I decide 160hp isn't enough for 1 wheel drive.

Classy!

ITBs down the road would make it sing.
