Really, really, really hope you pick this up loxx.
From the MG Ad:

Holy wow. That thing is glorious. Will be jelly mostly because it's crystal silver like my sedan. I'd offer a trade by my avant is nowhere near that machine. Lol

That's funny because I was thinking the same thing! I need pearl and you need the silver so we can both have matching sedans/wagons. I guess being exact opposites is cool too...?

I'm getting off of the rig this morning and will drive to CT (where my sister and the car live). Apparently on Monday there are a few people who are coming to see the car, but I was the first one to get in touch with him about it (THANK YOU KEVIN!) . We've had extended talks about our cars and enthusiasm for them and such, and I hope that between that and the fact that I got first dibs will mean that I get it.
I will probably have to pay full ask based on my competition, and I've never had to pool my resources like I have had to in order to get this car lol. I've somehow made the money appear out of nothing somehow in the past 24 hours or so. In the long run, this should help me save money though. $770 or so per month on the Cayenne has been making me feel financially guilty.
By the way, epic signature pictures now

Although if I was to be picky, I'd say that S3 picture is throwing the balance off a little. The background isn't uniform enough!

All white in the back would look sweet, plus it'd hark to the fact that the S3 is the real winter beater compared to those two glorious t44 garage queens.

That's excellent news. I think you'll have the upper hand with the enthusiasm you have for the T44 and being first in line. It's exactly how I scored mine.
I haven't had the S3 long enough to have a vast selection of imaged just yet, lol. At least it's updated now! Next fall I'll get pics of the S3 in the same location

Side note, that Avant doesn't have roof rails. A lot of people hate on them, but for some strange reason I feel it doesn't look quite right without them. What do you think?

I totally agree on the roof rails! Good news, he told me it has them now actually.
If I do get it, I will want to keep it pretty original. However, I would like to put some V8 tails on it, maybe drop it an inch or two, and put some more sporting wheels on it, much like yours. Maybe PNP VEMS too

I don't trust the chip he's got in it and I don't know if it's wide or narrow rotor.

I can't wait to hear the reaction from people at your work, lol. You've been rolling up in a Porsche and now you'll pull in with this 25 year old station wagon. I love it.
It starts with VEMS... EFR6758 and Carlisle runs this year! lol

Haha I know, it's going to be pretty funny. The Porsche never fails to get a reaction. I feel like this thing will do the same, but for different reasons.
LOL next year I hope it'll be Carlisle runs in the sedans

lol, you are crazy.
The only way I'll get on board with this is if you put the 1000whp motor into the avant

But you have to keep stock wheels and suspension on it

So I read the entire blog he kept of all the work done to the car.
This is a serious question, but what makes this thing worth 10K$....? I know low miles is a factor but that can't be all..

That's just it. It's worth it to me becuase I can drive it for another 100k miles without having to worry. It's like it's a 4 year old used car in 1995. Surely it was worth 10k then? I really don't think there is another one in this shape out there if you consider the interior, mechanicals, and especially suspension.

But your plan is to use it as a work ride? Seems like you may feel bad taking it out in the muck; maybe not.
Saw your ad for the Cayenne on Rennlist, goodluck!

Damn, that's nice too! Probably not as well-executed as the silver one though.
Ed, yes I do plan to use it for work. I would/will feel a little bad about stacking the miles up on it, but it'd be well taken care of. I'd undercoat it, etc. to make sure things stay fresh. It isn't that mucky out here, just regular winter slush from time to time. It isn't a daily thing either. I probably drive somewhere once a week, but it is long distance.

Not to be a dick here, but i'll have to agree with this as well. $10k is a lot of money for a car that has nice paint and some factory parts replaced.
I mean yeah, a lot is to be said for a car that has everything working on it and all the little bugs worked out. It's real nice having everything just work on an old car.
But maybe I'm just all about racecor parts.

I think you got lucky in a way you didn't end up over paying for the car. I looked at pictures of that car before anything was done to it by the current seller and it wasn't too hot looking.
I read some chatter of another nice one being for sale soon, I'll pm you some deets.

Yeah, thanks for the support Haha. Not the end of the world for sure, but it did make me go to a subaru dealer afterward to see what all the fuss is about. They left a bad taste in my mouth. I can't stand dealers. So don't worry, no subaru for me haha.
Some guy who is a car collector and apparently has several Ferraris bought it. He didn't even know what it was, but someone told him about it and he liked it.
